Pretty much yes. frustrating to say the least.

Sorry I have not got back sooner. Ok so this problem still exists. The workaround is that I have to uninstall the Realtek(R) Audio driver, reboot, reinstall and it works. Royal pain the the rear though, and not something one should have to do. :(

No nothing. I have used my phone headphones and nothing on them either. so it has to be either a hardware issue or software issue, but I am at loss at to what.... very frustrating.

yes it is, and if i unplug the headset, it is also the same, just different volume setting.
