Good afternoon
After some advice. I have had my gaming laptop for just over 4 years. I have now started getting an error when I switch it on. If i click on OK it continues into Windows. Is this something that can be easily sorted?

My specs are as follows;
Chassis & Display Defiance Series: 17.3" Matte Full HD 144Hz 72% NTSC LED Widescreen
Processor (CPU) Intel® CoreTM i7 Six Core Processor 8750H (2.2GHz, 4.1GHz Turbo)
Memory (RAM) 32GB Corsair 2666MHz SODIMM DDR4 (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2070 Max-Q - 8.0GB GDDR6 Video RAM - DirectX® 12.1
1st Storage Drive 1TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2.5" SSD, (upto 560MB/sR | 540MB/sW)

Thank you

This would normally be due to the CMOS battery on the motherboard.

The CMOS is what saves all the settings in the BIOS, to do this it needs to have a constant charge even when powered off, so it has a small pen style battery feeding it with tiny power supplied to maintain settings.

Sounds like this battery may have run out of juice.

They're extremely simple to swap over, normally on a laptop, they look like this:

You'll need to remove the bottom cover and find where it is and swap it out for a replacement

Is there a manual for my model that will explain best way to get to the battery. I have tried getting the bottom off and I don't want to damage the laptop.
