They're also telling me I should swap parts now, even though when I ordered everything was in stock. So I can't get the build I wanted, I'd have to keep buying bits I don't want to get it build and pay for the bits I do separately
That's not correct, if you don't want this wait, you can update your parts. If you want those exact parts then you can just wait for them to come back in stock.

You only pay the difference if swapping takes you above your paid price, bit of you switch to cheaper components equally you'll get money back.

I appreciate you're frustrated but don't bad mouth the company unnecessarily.

I just spoke with customer service who, as always, are excellent. He informed me that there is sufficient stock to cover the orders plus double so we shouldn't be waiting too long. He expressed my build, all being well, should start the build process in about 1 week. So unless any of your other parts are still waiting to arrive, the 3060ti is well in stock :) Should be all gravy!

I wasn't badmouthing them I'm just annoyed. I ordered with everything in stock a month ago now I'm having to compromise. Which means I either get an inferior product or have to pay out more. I can't get what I originally asked for.

I also wasn't updated saying that it was a different item now stopping my progress. Without actually going out of my way to ask lots of questions, the emails would have left me thinking I was fifth still waiting for a gpu

Again, you don't have to compromise unless you want to, it's completely your choice.

You say that, but after updating my order I'm now told my motherboard has no eta...

I haven't been updated on anything, that's my biggest gripe.

Edit:

After a lot of speaking and confusion, I'm still having to wait at least another month minimum... not a massive problem.

The problem is they say I should have been emailed for parts out of stock so I could change and make it be built quicker, however I received no emails and now multiple other parts are out of stock.

That's my problem is the lack of notification on other out of stock items. They have been helpful and very active otherwise

I'm in the queue there at #286 for the 3060 Ti and ordered yesterday evening, just as an fyi for anyone ordering

(PS does that sound like quite far down the queue?)

This time last week I was 509th in the queue and they had a huge delivery that they didn't expect. The PC arrived a few hours ago.

I wouldn't worry too much about being 286th, they seemed to have quite a few small deliveries scheduled for this coming week as well when I last talked to them.

Some people are having it emailed to them, I never received any emails and only found out when I asked them about it.
Sound,
I was talking to them via live chat about something else and mentioned it, he told me my build was on time no delays after a few phone calls. I was just wondering if i was going crazy and missing it somewhere on the website.

mine was ordered on the same date as @/Ericburnard but It seems to have an estimated build date of early December… very odd no clue how the queuing system works.

The queue system works on the original order date, so if Ericburnard put his ORIGINAL order in with lets say for arguments sake a normal 3060 a couple of weeks before you, and changed to the 3060Ti on the same day you placed your order, he'll get precedence over you because his ORIGINAL ORDER DATE, IS BEFORE YOUR ORDER DATE

Yea pretty sure we both started off with 3060ti (feel free to correct me Eric) and our original order date is the same too so still confusing haha

It depends on your other parts too. I was and still am fifth according to their queuing system from over a month ago.

After a lot of chatting found out I got the gpu but psu and mb are both out of stock, so even though I was top of the queue I won't be getting anything any time soon as I'm waiting on the other parts apparently. So best to just ask, they're very helpful. Relying on the emails and queue system will give you false hope.

Edit:

I've been checking on live chat every few days what's in stock and not to keep up with the ever changing issues and fingers crossed after swapping a component and getting stock updates, my pc will be built soon.

I seem to have stopped having the 5 day update emails so no idea at all how far off I am, PC Specialist have done quite well out of me though, I've amended the order two times already (not GPU and both upgrades)

I'm on (working) day 25 and counting at this point, my current PC is only working via Strelec USB Drive & a portable apps USB Drive on top (stick in a stick) so I can still [just about] use it for some things.

I never had the update emails. Although thankfully it looks like my PC will be built next week now having changed cases because of a lack of stock of those too... The 3060ti though is still fully in stock according to Kevin on the live chat!
