So While I was watching amazon prime the laptop all of the sudden went to black screen (crashed). There was like a constant deep noice from the speakers though I assume that it was because I was playing a sound when it happen. I hold the power bottom and it turned off. when I truned on again i opened hw moniter and fan speed setting, and saw my cpu was around 80 C. Atm it jumps between 50 and 60.
I cheched the "View reliability history" and this is what it shows .
Translations
*kritiske hændelse* =critical events
windows blev ikke lukket ned= windows was not probably shut down (from when i hold the bottom down just now i assume)
Handling blev afbrudt= action was canceled
hardwarefejl= hardware error (im not sure what this is about tbh), but i clicked it and it showed vrh4. translates to roughly :" due to problems with hardware windows no longer funktions correctly)

*advarsler*= warnings
windows update blev ikke kørt= windows update was not run

Im currently updating windows but im wondering if there is anything else i should do?

update: the cpu has gone back down to about a constant 50
also I get an error message when I tried to update the pc
Translation:
certain updatefiles are missing or having problems. we will try to update later. and then the error code

also I realized i probably posted this the wrong place so if however can can change it to a more appropriate topic, i would appreciate it. and apologize for whatever inconvenience that may cause. I was a little to fast just reading "laptop" and then clicking when choosing a topic

There are several worrying Windows failures in that stability report AND there's a hardware problem reported too. On the face of it this looks like an unhappy system. I'd like to see your event logs to find out what's going on here, so can you do the following please?

1. Enter the command eventvwr into the Run command box. The event viewer will open.

2. Expand the folder labelled Windows Logs on the left hand side.

3. Right-click on Application and select 'Save all events as...'. Select any destination folder that suits you and call the file Apps (the .evtx extension will be automatically added).

4. Right-click on System and select 'Save all events as...'. Select any destination folder that suits you and call the file Sys (the .evtx extension will be automatically added).

5. Upload the files Apps.evtx and Sys.evtx to the cloud and post links to them here.

I get a similar "hardware error" when cyberpunk crashes, but it's not a black screen or crash of the computer, just the game itself. Don't believe it's a hardware fault in my case (even though windows is saying it is), since it only happens with the buggy game.

I don't really know how to put this mildly, but I would strongly recommend a new clean reinstall of the latest version of Windows.

Your system log contains a great many error for Windows Update, these are also reflected in your application log, and if you're not able to properly install updates then pretty much anything could be going wrong.

In addition there is page after page of errors for Netwtw10 and Netwtw08, these are your wireless adapter drivers and the errors indicate that the drivers are corrupt, not installed or the wireless adapter itself if faulty. Were you having networking problems? Your application log shows a lot of games crashing for various reasons, could these be network related?

There are also a great many errors related to exe files and dll files for different games and game launchers as well as a large number of errors for LedKeyboardSetting.exe which would seem to be related to your keyboard lighting.

You could try running the command sfc /scannow this will check your critical Windows files for corruption. If that reports errors found that could not be corrected then I would be reinstalling WIndows.

You could also try running the Windows Update troubleshooter, here's how to do that:

1. Open the Windows Control Panel by entering the command control in the Run command box.

2. Change the View by entry at top right to Large Icons.

3. Click on Troubleshooting.

4. In the menu on the left of the troubleshooting windows that opens, click View All.

5. Click on the Windows Update troubleshooter and then the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter (some of your errors are Windows Store related). It's also worth running the System Maintenance troubleshooter.

To be brutally honest I think your quickest and most reliable route to a stable system is going to be a clean install from bootable media. If you need guidance on how to do that just ask. :)

I already have a windows on a usb, but im not sure its up to date. Should i download a new version, use the old or?
Also I have to drives with the 1 tb m2 being where windows is. I can just remove everything from that drive, while keeping all my data on the second one, right?

I do have network problems (slow or occasionally disconnects) but, my other pc and xbox also get disconnected at times, so i kinda thought it was the network itself at this point. I assume the the networks driver will come by itself if i reinstall windows? assuming its the drivers an not the adaptor itself. I think I had 2 crashes in civ 6, but there have been times where i quit the job (game) in taks manager. I dont know if that would cause the application log to think it crashed. I doubt the crashes are network related but not gonna rule it out (though all but one game I play is single and shouldt require network but idk)

I dont think I have experienced anything in game launchers. There is occasionally a thing where the keyboard stay a not choosen colour at startup where i would have to go into LED keyboard control

instructions for a clean install:

Download a new copy of Windows using the Media Creation Tool to an 8GB (min) USB.
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).

just to make sure; I dont have to delete disk 0 (where all my game data is on), just the one where windows is on (disk 1), right?. So i´ll just delete everything that isn't named disk 0?

Wouldn't it be better to download the gpu driver from clevo, since that is my chassie?

I use the most up to date drivers from Nvidia all the time... every once in a while I get issues, but the most recent one (461.09) is working fine for me.

Oddly enough I had the same this morning. I watching some c&^p on youtube and the screen went black, I could still hear the video but I had no control over mouse,or keyboard. That maybe because I could not see it. I pressed the start button three times to reboot. My laptop rebooted fine. In security/reliability I got this
Description
A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

since then it's worked fine.
Just don't Know

So I got around around to reinstalling windows. I have some minor issues/ question. (Sorry it's a bit long)

The pc is rather hot (60-70 ish), manly CPU( suspect windows is still being configured, but worth mentioning)

Sound sounds off (should I try to download sound blaster manually, and if so it would be from the clevo website, correct?)

I checked the reliability screen, and it came up with 2 critical errors PowerConsumptionControl (28 of them for 10 min) been almost 2 hrs since and havnt showed agian.
GameBar.exe (currently works but doesn't show any of the utalizations. Seems like I'm not logged in, even though every time I do it open the xbox app, and logs me in. Just doesn't seem to register it in game bar)

Also there was a warning about NVIDIA-Display... windows update didnt run (note it currently doesn't show any more updates available in windows update)

There is currently 2 games that doesn't want to start; (havnt tried all of the games but most). The games are Watch dogs 2 and The witcher 3. I had the same problem with civ 6, but seems fine now. Maybe they just need time?

The nvidia driver version is 457.20. Is that "good enough"? If I experience problems I'll obviously try to update it, but for now I'm just intrested to know if you guys know wether or not it would cause problems

My wifi still disconnect as it did before, but again most likely it's my wifi

Something I'm curious about. Before reinstalling windows I moved spotify from my c driv to my d drive (via the "move option" you can find when you go into settings, storage, apps, then click on an app) Yet if I search on it it doesn't come up. How come?

Edit: for the xbox game bar: I had to go into Microsoft store, choose the ap, and click the 3 dots to update. (it just stated "start" before) works now)
Both games work now, geuss they just needed time.

Great that you solved those issues (or they solved themselves  )! It was probably windows still installing or setting up things on the background.

I would recommend downloading the latest version of sound blaster from Clevo's website indeed, though I'm not using it anymore as I've found a more flexible open-source option.

Regarding the Nvidia driver version, it's up to you. I like updating mine to the newest version always, but some people prefer to keep using the same version until they face issues and then update. (y)
