My first one wasn't that cheap trust me.

According to amazon this one is "Very good" with damaged packaging. So guessing it was a return. Still they're the only place i'd trust with "used" stuff. As 90% of it is unwanted returns and there customer service and returns policy if there's anything wrong is second to none :)

It looks like theres some still available at that price here

Ahhh I see why that one is a bit cheaper too, it's not the one I have with the adjustable arm. :) I have the 27GL850 which cost me £380 😅 Not a bad deal considering it's just box damage for it!

Mines not so far away from that, still rocking a 4th Gen i7! It's definitely time to upgrade!

Yep Just tried it

Just checked the only real difference between the 2 is this version doesn't have the USB ports :)
It's a shame they don't make them with proper VESA mount compatibility otherwise I'd get one. I need to be able to raise my monitors up to standing height sometimes so I need monitor arms with mine. I've read about compatibility issues with trying to attach a VESA arm to the LG monitors. Might need to do some more research as that's a much better price

It states it's standard VESA 100 and looks like it with the stand bracket on the rear of the panel, but haven't seen those reviews stating it's a fiddle.

Surprises me though, VESA is not exactly a challenging thing to get right, if they state it's compatible I'd be very surprised if it wasn't.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm frightened to get it then find out I can't mount it, I'm crap with those things  I guess worst case it can always be returned if it really doesn't want to connect.

I read a few reviews before i brought the first one and it fits a VESA but because the way they've made the cut it out on the back of the panel It can take a bit of tweaking to get it locked in

I plan on getting a dual vesa mount at some point so will report back to confirm it fits

Let me know if it fits! I would rather pay less and use the monitor arm I have if I can :D

After waiting patiently my new gaming PC has arrived. I must say I am very impressed! My last gaming PC was bought back in 2006 so I've been out of the PC master race club for a while now. 😅

What a nice thing to get on a Friday afternoon, especially as I find out if my job is at risk of redundancy next Wednesday.

I went with the great recommendations of this forum and adapted my spec to suit my needs and I also picked up the LG Ultragear 27" monitor on another good tip, when I can afford to I'm replacing my old work screen next to it with another LG Ultragear as it's great quality.

View attachment 21832My spec for those interested, my budget was £2k:

If you don't me asking, when did you order the PC and when did it come? Just trying to figure it out the rough waiting time.

Thanks :)

I ordered on the 11th of December and I received it on Friday 29th of January. Originally I had to items out of stock on my order, the CPU and GPU. I changed the CPU after researching the differences between the one I originally thought I needed vs the one in stock, turned out the one I ended up getting was more than enough for what I needed. If I had waited on the higher spec CPU I'd still be waiting now for the PC. Hard to say how long you'll have to wait as it depends on what you've ordered and there's a global part shortage expected to last until spring.
