It looks really good, but honestly I'd make a few tweaks. First off, I wouldn't add any extra fans. If it turns out to need extra fans, they're easy to add, but I really doubt you will with those components. Neither 5600X nor 3060 Ti are super-hot. Then I'd change the motherboard to a B550 one (in some ways it's better than the Tuf X570 despite theoretically being a lower tier), put the PSU down to 850W (the 1000W is no longer such a good deal for some reason), and splurge a bit more on a better SSD configuration. Overall these changes end up saving you £30.

Finally, I wouldn't worry about rear ventilation: it'll be just fine. Partly because the heat won't be that significant, and partly because air can always escape through the top of the case as well.

Budget is ~£1600 - £1700.

For the case, I need one that's not too deep - the 466mm is probably already pushing it space wise (allowing for ventilation space behind it). Don't mind not having RGB - would dropping from the 3 Sickle Flow fans to just 1 or 2 of the Thermaltake TOUGHFANs (or no extra case fans at all) be a good move?

Main use will be casual gaming (currently only 1080p 75hz monitor but will be changing to 1440p 120+hz soon, probably IPS - not too fussed about extreme high FPS gaming. May occasionally use it with a 4k TV. Will also be used for remote working (Teams, MS Office etc), and occasional light video editing / Photoshop.
You're pretty close with this! As I've said the 4000D with no other fans will do perfectly fine for thermal performance for this build, so you don't need to add any. If you wanted to add any fans for your own reassurance, I'd personally just swap to the Cooler Master TD500, it's £9 more and comes with 3 RGB fans instead of 2 black fans. But it does also add a couple mm to the length which is something worth noting.

Thanks :)

I've taken off the extra fans and changed the SSD setup as suggested (980 Pro 500GB and Intel 670 1TB). I think I got the 1000 watt PSU at a bargain price as it would cost a few quid extra to downgrade it back to 850w so I'll leave it.

I've left the mobo as the X570 for now, but curious about how the B550 is better in some ways?

It’s not a massive issue with what you’re going for. The B550 is actually a newer socket type than the X570 but they’re both likely to be supported for roughly the same amount of time. Most, but not all (I’m looking at you, Gigabyte) X570 boards tend to have slightly better voltage regulation when it comes to coping with higher core count CPUs.

If you were heading down the 12 core route, dabbling in overclocking and really hammering the cores we’d probably be having a good old conflab over the best board for your uses, but as it stands you’re pretty safe 👍

Connectivity. The Tuf B550 has 2.5Gbps ethernet and a Thunderbolt header, whereas the X570 has neither. Neither probably matters to you, but the X570's advantages (slightly better power delivery, more PCIe gen 4 lanes) probably don't matter either. In terms of performance, you will probably not see any difference at all between the Tuf X570 and the Tuf B550 for your computer.

(You will see from my signature that I have the 5600X+X570 combination, by the way!)

The TUF Gaming B550-plus WiFi is listed as 1Gbbs ethernet on the configurator (and WiFi type not specified), but on the ASUS site it's listed as 2.5 Gbps and WiFi 6. Neither makes any mention of bluetooth though - hopefully it's got it as have a few bluetooth peripherals I'll need to connect. WiFi 6 would be a bonus over the WiFi 5 on the X570.

The Corsair 4000D case has a front USB C 3.1 port - would the X570 and B550-plus TUF boards support that?

They make it weirdly hard to find The black image below shows the TUF B550 Wifi incliding an Intel AX200 WiFi card and the white image shows the spec of that AX200 card on the Intel site (the bottom two lines shows it has bluetooth)

With the 4000D USB C port, I don't believe either board will support it. From looking at images I don't see the connector used for USB C on either board sadly

You don't need the special connector for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (often known as USB 3.1) Type C: the normal connector is fine and I believe there is no problem with the 4000D's front ports and those motherboards.
