I just bought the whole Assassins Creed series, offer £75 on Steam for 11 games. Seemed like a good deal to me :D
I'd put A C Valhalla on my wishlist. It came up on offer for £5 and change. Which then led me to the rest

have you got a link for that deal? I ask as clicking on steam im not getting the same one

Hmmm, it looks like AC Valhalla is back up to £50 (less a bit of change) already.

I must have got in at just the right time. I'm afraid I didn't post immediately, I didn't think of it until the next day. Sorry

Rainbow Six: Extraction launched on Steam yesterday to a 75% off discount to the base version. I'm no expert, but that's got "Stay Away!" written all over it. I realise that Ubisoft made it exclusive to their own platform for 6 months, but to offer such a large discount from the beginning of its time on Steam doesn't look great.

Looks like Amazon Gaming (the website, not the app) have Prey as a freebie...

Also noted that there's something coming for Diablo IV shortly...along with a Star Wars one...

Games + Germany

Need I say more?

Ja wohl! Das ist… a bunch of games I’ve never heard of. I know I’m a bit out of the loop thanks to a pretty full on year of dadding to a son who had a difficult start to life… but I must admit that I did the Elmo shrug at that entire list.

Aficionados (#Denz), let me know if there’s anything I’m missing out on that’s worth adding to the library. Otherwise I will consider that to be a steaming pile and leave well alone.

Fair enough. Germany is pretty good at making video games.

Ubisoft Mainz was behind Anno 1800 for those who enjoy a bit of city building. Tropico 6 is a good option for those who prefer a bit more humour in their city builders - yes Germans can be funny!

The original Desperados game was one of my favourites when I was younger, Desperados 3 was released in 2020 and is incredibly well received. The same company also made the Shadow Tactics games.

The Destroy All Humans remakes were made in Germany - also pretty good.

Those who were let down by Cyberpunk 2077 on release (most of us) could also while away quite a few hours playing Cloudpunk which had you playing as a courier flying around a city making deliveries and stuff. I really enjoyed the art style of the game.

I've put quite a few hours into Dorfromantik which is a casual puzzle game where you're tasked with buiding up an entire world with a series of hexagonal pieces which have various things on them, such as houses, farms, railways, rivers, etc. You need to plan where you want to put pieces that you may or may not actual be given. The game really gets the hamster wheel running!
