If they have 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3600MHz (1 x 16GB) then its just 2 sticks of that you need, or am i misunderstanding ?
They can't do 32GB as they only one have one 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3600MHz (1 x 16GB).

Daft Question here (told you I was a Noob) but could I just spec that and then add another 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3600MHz (1 x 16GB) sourced from elsewhere?

@MehHus. Are PCS saying that the 32gb (2x16gb) option is out of stock for both 3200MHz and 3600Mhz in both LPX and RGB options? Moving to 3200 from 3600 is going to make little difference from a gaming performance perspective given the 3600 is CL18 and the 3200 is CL16 (so both have 100ns latency).

You could pick up Corsair Vengeance LPX 32gb (2x16gb) 3200MHz CL16 for £125, the RBG version for £140. Corsair Vengeance LPX 32gb (2x16gb) 3600MHz CL18 for £135, the RBG for £140. This is basically the same as what PCS would provide, except it's the Retail SKU rather than OEM SKU. I see PCS as charging something close around £200 for the 3600Mhz RAM so that's a decent saving.

Crucial Ballistix non RGB 32GB (2x16gb) 3600MHz CL16 is around £152. The RGB version around £165.

If you want to pay £200, then you can get guaranteed dual rank Samsung b-die like Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz CL16 but I don't see the need for you to pay that much.

Correct. They don't have any 32GB in stock. Best they can do is either a 16GB 3000MHz (1 x 16GB) or 16B 3600MHz (1 x 16GB).

@MehHus. You don't want to buy a single 1x16gb from PCS and then source another 1x16gb from a third party. The SKUs will be different and even inside a specific SKU there is no guarantee that the two sticks of RAM would match. You could end up with two sticks with different ranks from different dies.

Either wait for PCS to have what you want in stock (surely not that long?) or select 1x4gb from PCS and buy a 32gb (2x16gb) kit from a third party.

Ah ok, so they have no dual 32GB kits in stock at all? Weird!

Have they not got a date for stock ?

No stock and no ETA on when stock is due. Guy on the phone spent ages looking through their stock list.

And to think I had only rung up to tell them to install the OS on the smaller M.2 drive! Kinda glad I did.

Bizzare, that’s a bit of a showstopper for them, no 4x8GB kits either ?

Looks like sourcing elsewhere is the way to go.

@MehHus. I'm really surprised they have no 32gb kits in 3200 or 3600 (you don't want to consider anything lower than 3200). They are not showing out of stock in their configurator. Is that both LPX and RGB variants? And does that also mean 4x8gb kits?

It's odd because right now Corsair 32gb kit prices have dropped quite a bit across a number of third parties. A glut if anything.

Okay, disaster averted. The previous agent who answered my call got confused.

Thanks for everyone who helped offer advice. Much appreciated.

I'm going to go and lie down now!

Good stuff, would have been a very bizarre situation if they had run out of RAM!
