And yes, that was posted on Christmas morning. I'm online to the many forums I help out on, checking whether anyone's Christmas PC present is playing up. All good so far....

Yeah but think of all the bargains they could pick up in the boxing day sales (my eldest daughters birthday is actually boxing day)

It's a programmer joke, so a bit of a niche audience here (I do understand it completely though) :LOL:

OCT and DEC are just names for BASE-8 (octal) and BASE-10 (decimal), as HEX is for BASE-16 (hexadecimal) and BASE-2 (binary).

When you convert OCT31 (3x8 + 1x1) in BASE-8 (octal) into BASE-10 (decimal) it equals 25 (2x10 + 5x1) - and decimal is what 'normal' people use day-to-day/SPOILER]
