Delivered and it looks stunning šŸ˜ Slight chip in the side panel sadly but not do or die, ticket in to hopefully easy replacement.
Initial driver issues crashing with no signal displayed, PCS support quick to help and so far running buttery smooth

Will post some pics soon

Update: Hopefully anyone else lucky to get an early card hasn't hit a wall with this problem.

Stability issues are a nightmare with the latest Nvdia drivers, even with the previous ones ddu'd and reinstalled, black screens and crashes booting most games making it quite unusable, praying Nvida get it hot fixed asap and doesn't go back to a hardware issue.

More bad news for those wanting a current gen Nvidia GPU...

Itā€™s an absolute travesty.

I donā€™t get how any of this is legal, price fixing used to be a crime, this is blatantly coordinated both in setting a fake msrp literally days before tariffs were known to be applied, and then furthermore intentionally limiting stocks, and retailers only making available stocks IF paired with huge bundle deals on products nobody wanted anyway.

And the thing that makes it even worse is PEoPLE ArE StILl BUyiNG ThEM!!!!

I think these corners of the world are typically more affluent. We have more money to waste than we have previously. The breadline still exists, of course, but it's just a completely different world with waste.

I remember not so long ago we used to get TVs and Vacuum cleaners fixed in repair shops. Very rare do you hear of this now, we just throw everything away and buy new. Didn't have that kind of disposable income back then. In fact, I remember my Papa saying that he saved for his New Year bottle of Whisky (1/2 bottle). One time he dropped it and it smashed, and that was him till next year. He had to rely on the kindness of friends and family to share theirs, that they had equally saved for.

Ahh changed days. Not sure if it's always for the better either.

I'd have used a straw and percolator filter to recover most of that!

We only usually replace something when it's broken or outdated - like swapping a CRT TV for an LCD when when the tube went, or getting a 1080p TV during the digital switchover; and we only got 4K OLEDs when we passed the 1080p plasma down to another member of the family when they moved into a house of their own. Most of my old Macs (and one gaming PC) are with family too.

More deliberate enshitification or just technical incompetence?

That's down right criminal in my mind.

If so, they should rename it the 5090E (for Europe)...and take 25% off the price.

Maybe they've decided that Nvidia's supply of the proper chip is too slow, but they can get as many crippled/binned versions as they can handle.

But to not say anything is anti-consumer, and against the law...and I'd hope PCS (and the other systems integrators) ensure the customer is getting the full fat version.

Iā€™ve said it before, and Iā€™ll say it again, Iā€™m glad Iā€™m out of the new GPU game for a couple of years/cycles šŸ˜¬
