If it’s the same HX1500i that I got in my system last year, then it’s ATX3.0 and PCIe 5.0…but there’s also been a 2025 refresh to ATX3.1 and PCIe 5.1.

However, I’ll have to take a closer look at mine as supposedly it didn’t cone with 12VHPWR, but I’m sure that’s what my 4090 is currently plugged into

After a bit of research, it looks like the only difference is they’ve re-certified it for the x.1 specs (according to model numbers on the Intel ATX PSU certification list)…and that Corsair include the 12VHPWR cable instead of it being a separate purchase.

Oh, hold on, I’m being a doof!

I think even on their ATX3.1 PSUs, Corsair stuck with the 8pin power connectors as they weren’t comfortable with the 12VHPWR design on the PSU, even on the Shift models

So that’s why it may still be an ATX 3 design but only has the 8pin PSU ports

Totally forgot about that!

No 12VHPWR labelling on my PSU sockets, just the normal PCIe / CPU labels...but the cable that came with it is a 12v PCIe 5.0 2x8-pin to 2x6 pin GPU cable (which looks like a single 12-pin with some sense pins on top).

This one...

...and typically, just my taking off the case side cover to look at the PSU has made iCUE fall over and refuse to recognise anything other than the keyboard and RAM!!!

Looks like I'm moving everything around again!!!

...and found the USB power cable had come out of the iCUE hub - because the hub is just hanging in mid air and not attached to anything. Even had a play connecting the HX1500i to iCUE, but it only lets you change the fan profile and look at power usage...so not sure how much use I'd get out of that - as I'm not sure I really want to know how many jigglewatts I'm using. ;)

I daren't take that side off of the Berserker, it's struggle to get it back on 😂
My old Corsair iCUE 220T case was like that. There were so many chunky cables fighting for the 1cm of space between the motherboard and the panel that I had to place it on it's side to be able to press it down enough to slide the panel into place.

Was part of the reason for the chunky 6500X case this time.

That's really concerning to me. I don't think those cables should be getting anywhere near that temperature, that's just losing efficiency left right and centre.
