If it is 1 beep followed by 3 short beeps then would seem to indicate no VGA detected as per here (section 2.3).

Are you sure the GPU has been seated correctly? Might be an idea re-seating it (and making sure you are connecting the cables to the GPU and not the Motherboard).

Thanks for the quick reply Paul, i think it was one beep followed by 3 short beeps. I will try re-seating the gpu. Fingers crossed

Yeah, that’s fine.
So i've tried re-seating, same as before. Monitor and gpu come on with power just no signal.

Checked monitor again via hdmi with my laptop and the monitor works fine. Tried hdmi and display cable with new desktop and same issue. Not sure what it could be now.

If the beeps are still occurring the same way then I wonder if the GPU is the issue. Has it been used in any other system so that you are sure it isn't faulty?

I'm assuming you are definitely connecting the cables to the GPU in the back of the PC in the right slots and not any that are for the Motherboard?

Might sound strange but before you boot the PC can you make sure the monitor is definitely on and when it is then boot the PC. I have seen some strange BIOS beeps whereby it won't connect to the screen if the screen is turned on after the PC is booted.

Other than above hopefully more experienced folk on here can help to better troubleshoot for you.

Depending on the make of the BIOS that beep code can indicate faulty RAM. Try popping the RAM cards and reseating them.

Thanks all for your replies. Tried phoning PCS as its not their gfx card they couldn't provide much assistance. Expected this anyway as its in the T&c's. In the end i reset my bios by removing/disconnecting all power supplies, then removing the mobo battery for a minute. Once i put the battery back in and reconnected all power, it worked 😅

Just leaving this comment here in the event that somone else is experiencing similar problems. If you order a pc and have your own GPU, my assumption was that when the pc is tested by PCS, another GPU is used in testing. In the first instance the mobo didn't detect the GPU i tried to insert wihtout having to reset the bios as it wasn't the same GPU used in testing.

I am quite new when it comes to custom pc's, so this is probably common knowledge anyway.

Thanks again to those who tried to help :)
