Hello,
I recieved what I thought was a super gaming computer with a top graphics card intel 9 all bells and whistles costing over £2000 it has only been running for about a month I have not even played any games yet, I have not put much on it just sorted out my music and that was about it still trying to get my head around windows 10, i was not even at the stage to start migrating my programs from windows 7 to it yet... anyway something went wrong and I am stuck in a re-install windows 10 loop it brings up the error "the computer restarted unexpectedly.... windows installation can not proceed" and I really do not know what to do I guess I will be ringing tech support on monday time run out to ring them back today.... this is so damned frustrating I wonder if anyone has had this sort of problem :( I fear I have made a grave mistake buying it :(

What do you mean by this? You can't migrate program installations if that's what you mean?

There's nothing wrong with your PC, just sounds like windows is corrupt and may need reinstalling.

Can you post your full specs from the order page so we can see what we're working with?

Fear not, it doesn’t sound like the end of the world. First things first, please can you post your full system specification? You can find it in ‘my orders’ on your main PCS account. Secondly, when it arrived did you go through the Windows update process repeatedly? Over and over again until no more we’re available? We just need to know if your system is fully configured.

Worst case scenario, you might need to do a clean install of the OS. It’s not a big deal and we can help you through it if needs be.

I tried the clean install with tech support he talked me through what to do from the supplied USB we ended the call because it was doing it and he was probably soon to finish work :) and I thought this would sort it but no luck it just comes up with an error and is stuck in this never ending loop :( I just need to find the stats etc for this build bear with me

So start from the beginning, create a bootable usb with the latest image from microsoft as it will be newer than the one that you were supplied.

You should always use the latest version of any program no matter what OS you're on.

Let us know when you're ready to start installing.

You’re on a really unstable platform right now. If you follow the instructions @SpyderTracks has set out for you, you’ll be able to start from a clean slate with a fully up to date copy of Windows 👍

That is unwise. Its far from impossible that this is the source of your issue.

Internally Windows 10 is a very different animal than Windows 7 and you must ensure that you use Windows 10 compatible versions of all your software and {especially} drivers.

Compatibility mode is really misnamed. It's not a guarantee that unsupported programs will work as expected. It's generally best avoided.

I would suggest that you do the clean install as advised and then install only Windows 10 compatible software and drivers.

Still stuck in the blue screen loop :( I wish Tech support was open today, i only used 1 program from Windows 7 and that was Audacity because the new version of Audacity does not have the same eq i did not use old drivers etc i am not that clever :(

Where is it getting stuck, you need to be more descriptive, where do you get to when it goes into bluescreening?

Talk us through the whole process you've done
