New PC gpu and cpu underperforming

Just wondering, you've got a really decent PSU and it should be running 2 individual PCIe power cables to the GPU.

Can you check it is, and it's not just one PSU cable to a splitter?
I just checked it and saw 2 individual pci-e cables connected

Ok.... it's really strange.

In the firestrike reports, it does state the average clocks on the GPU is 800mhz, which is really really low, it's not even using half the card.

Just to confirm, you haven't reinstalled windows at any time have you?

I would just try installing the AMD updater tool here, I wonder if perhaps the chipset drivers aren't up to date and causing some inconsistencies on the PCIe lanes:

No, I haven't reinstalled Windows. I just updated it to the last version. I saw some people on this forum reinstalling windows and I actually don't know if that would be helpful in this case but I will try it if you recommend it.

Probably won't be the issue with the average memory being very low but is G Sync off?as this lowers your score by a good few hundred points if its on.

The CPU score looks a little low too as my 5900x and 3080 Timespy score is 17465
GPU 18335
CPU 13768

Try the chipset drivers as above first, if that doesn't help then we'll think about a clean install.

I have no experience with any of these high power cards - but a quick search of similar issues with other cards gave me this quote from Toms Hardware forum:

"Nvidia control panel messes up the clock speeds sometimes and it can get stuck in idle. Open nvidia control panel>Manage 3D settings>Set power management mode to high performance and reboot. You can try at a later time putting it back to adaptive and it may work then"

Worth a try perhaps guys?

Yes, G sync is off

Whilst in Nvidia control panel, it is worth goings into PhysX and making sure it is set to auto select.

In afterburner, make sure your power is set to 100%. It is extremely strange that your card is bang on 800mhz. I feel it is being blocked by something, rather than a broken card.

It is already in "prefer maximum performance". Strange enough i don't have an "Optimal power" choice in there.

checked afterburner and firestorm. Both say that it's on 100%

Ah that’s a shame. Worth a look though.

I have an extra option probably because I have a GTX 1650 - which is a pretend CPU - so settings don’t really matter!

I hope you find the issue @Kickim - but it seems to be sounding more and more like a defective GPU possibly.....
