New PC gpu and cpu underperforming

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that a gpu replacement arrived and I can confirm that the new one works perfectly fine hitting 18000 points in 3dmark. The technical support helped me out really good regarding the gpu. The fans are not noisy anymore and has a stable temperature. But the cpu...well...still underperforms. I am getting now an average of 12000 points in 3dmark and 24000 in Cinebench r23. This is stock. I tried using the pbo and the auto oc mode from ryzen master. The average results varied around 10000 in 3dmark and 20000 in cinebench r23 for now. Do you have any ideas what would be the problem? Some people on other forums suggested me that a bios update was necessary but seeing that it could compromise my motherboard in worst case scenario I would lose my warranty.

Has any of you tried DRAM calculator? Is it good?

I use DRAM calculator to OC ram, but it doesn’t support zen3

Can you post your most recent benchmarks, as i’m not sure that is particularly underperforming for that CPU.

There was a guy on another forum who said that the ram might be the problem.

I don't know if 3600mhz cl18 is good enough for it

Okay you do appear to be underperforming. You could potentially get it down to CL16.

At a guess, you could get the clock to around 16-18-18-36 or so, as that is stock for my ram i believe.

The auto OC may be an issue for you though, try it with that out.

Remember though, a lot of overclockers do a lot of benchmarks. Most people score in a low percentile, as they haven’t OC’d

Yeah but from what I have seen so far stock 5950x should score around 14000
Yeah i would imagine it would be higher than what you got, as my 5800X gets higher than that lol.

But without the detailed breakdown, i can’t see any standout issue and ram is a potential, but generally that would be a bigger impact at 1080p.

Here you go:

Auto oc
That test was only using 16 of your 32 cpu threads.

The test you posted afterwards was using all 32 threads

I've very little idea about overclocking and benchmarks, but the number of threads being used in each test was what stood out for me, although of course I may be not be interpreting the information correctly

However glad to hear that the issue regarding the graphics card has been resolved for you(y)

Cheers man!! I couldn't have done it without the support from the forum.

By the way...I have noticed the exact same thing. The first one(which is auto oc...) has only 16 threads active while the second one(stock) has all of them 32 threads. Which is very strange
