front bottom corner of the motherboard, connector with the red wire and motherboard speaker on itThe USB 3.2 Gen1 front panel connector (U32G1_12) goes to the top panel in this Lian Li case. I have clicked it out and back in again. Is this the one you mean?
Unplugged it and plugged it back in again. No better. But thank you for your thoughts and time.front bottom corner of the motherboard, connector with the red wire and motherboard speaker on it

Done. All clicked in nicely.I'd suggest you drop that PSU right out to check all those connections, and as @SpyderTracks said unplug them, and plug them back in making sure you here them click, the other one to check is along the bottom of the motherboard, that then goes up to the frontpanel
You've done a very thorough job, as you say, get some sleep and have a look after, sometimes you'll see things from a different angle, but if nothing leaps out, unfortunately, it's likely a call to PCS.Going to sleep on it and probably have chat with PCSpecialist tomorrow morning. Thank you to everyone who has put thought and effort and time into helping me.
I think it might have been in reply to a post I made on the thread (by mistake) about 3060 vs 3060Ti in video editing applications and which i deleted when I realised…No, I'm not. Goodness only knows how. I'll go to bed, I think!
Sat in tesco carpark a few months after my driving test nearly in tears as I could not work out why my car ignition key would not turn .... steering lock how we learn !All sorted.
Thank you to everyone who spent time and effort helping me out last night. It turns out that the problem was caused by the nut behind the keyboard. I built my own PC some time ago (?15yrs ago). But for the last 10 years I have only used an iMac and laptops - these all just have one button to turn them on. So I thought turning on the power supply was sufficient to boot my new machine. When working through the various plugs to make sure they were properly sited I noticed that one was called something like "power reset". I then realised that there was a little button on the top of the machine. Doh! I am very embarrassed. It works flawlessly.
And using this link https://win10.guru/windows-10-digital-license-how-to-transfer/ that was referred to in this forum thread https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...-to-windows-10-for-free-still-relevant.65782/ I was able to flawlessly transfer the licence from my now defunct bootcamp installation of Windows.
My normal one is "where are my car keys? WHERE ARE MY CAR KEYS?" To which the answer normally comes: "You're on the motorway doing 70mph: have you checked if they're in the ignition?"I

Many years ago I unlocked my Mini, got in and then had trouble getting the ignition key to turn. I then noticed that I had acquired some fluffy dice hanging from the rear view mirror and various items that I didn’t own on the back seat. It turned out to be a different Mini in the same horrible brown colour. The door key worked, but the ignition key didn’t.I

No, it doesn't. Bluetooth almost always comes together with WiFi. It wouldn't be difficult to add, but for audio I'd recommend against it if you have the option: it adds significant latency. I'd stick with wires unless that's a major problem.I don't think the ASUS® ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0) - ARGB Ready! motherboard has bluetooth? Or does it? Not a problem - it would just involve one cable fewer to attach the 2.0 sound.
