so a guy just almost ran me over on a cycle of some sort -,o right after i shot a guy in the neck , he fell to the floor and then alt F4'd not sure if he still loses his stuff .. but i most certainly hope so.

So just an update to anyone wanting to play with us, We have a bunch of vehicles ranging from an ATV to a Huey. We also have some really nice stuff with about 10 different tents full of stuff

Because the group is getting so large we've decided that skype is no longer able to handle a call with 10+ people so we've moved onto my TS3 server instead. The steam chat idea works alright until the steam servers go down and everyone panics because they dont know who is who or what is what and guns start firing.

I played this once. (May again once the new lappy arrives) and all I managed to achieve was to sit lonely in the lighthouse all night and shot zombies trying to climb up. ( some buggy ass animation that was).

I've stopped playing, its a great idea, but there are parts that are just crap.

Spend ages moving across the map through the woods - which aint very fun, once you know that you can navigate around, etc etc,

Zombies are good to kill - but gets boring very fast

Other players - is ruined by those that alt-f4 to quit the game instead of actually dying and restarting with nothing...

The mechanics of the game are crap, with perma death so when you die you have to start again, but, players just set up camps on the outskirts of the map and hoard gear loads of gear, so the whole point of perma death is a waste of time, as soon as a player dies ( if they dont alt -f4 out ) they just run back to tent/camp city and re arm with everything required.

dont even get me started on hackers...

well, it is a no now, as when I bought arma II for dayz, it wasn't announced that dayz would be going standalone and we would have to buy that too. So basically have to buy two games just for one game...

So if I were you, I'd wait till it comes out as standalone then buy it for cheap ( as its supposed to be following the minecraft model, cheap at first but with all the bugs, then going up to a higher price as time progresses )

Well I've been playing on a private server as of today as my friend who is a trusted Overclockers member managed to get us some spots on their server. Their server literally makes the game heaven, here's why

1) No alt-f4, Dont know how they did it but simply put it doesnt work you can mash the buttons as much as you like it doesnt work... It's hilarious watching a little whiney 14 year CoD noob think he can back out of a firefight.

2) No waypoints, even though you can set one on your map.. it wont show up, I spent 40 minutes driving around in my UAZ because I got lost xD

3) No script exploiters, duppers or hackers. OCUK operate a ZERO tolerance policy for any player attempting to gain an unfair advantage over the next. They wont entertain the idea of an appeal either, hack or script exploit and you are banned, someone is always watching the hive also

4) Not being connected to the main hive means that its only one server, there is no lag or delay in getting in. Plus tents and vehicles save correctly also \o/

5) The OCUK community is generally well behaved, you will run into trolls and other rabble but thats just part of gaming I guess
