I'm really not sure why that is because the only thing that was running was the benchmark program?Your bench result report hight usage CPU in background.

Yes, at first the benchmark program didn't even pick up my RTX 3070, the program skipped the card altogether (warning skipping graphics card Nvida RTX3070 unable to located attached display). So I went into Nvida Control panel and prioritised the RTX 3070.Your bench result report hight usage CPU in background. Also did you use dGPU only ? Because the bench did not report any Intel GPU while mine show it (MSHybrid mode). Can't help much more sadly.
Your windows isn’t configured if that’s the case.Yes, at first the benchmark program didn't even pick up my RTX 3070, the program skipped the card altogether (warning skipping graphics card Nvida RTX3070 unable to located attached display). Thanks for your well thought out reply. Very helpful.Your windows isn’t configured if that’s the case.
What does that mean??Your windows isn’t configured if that’s the case.
When you installed windows did you install the supplied PCS drivers or did you get all your drivers from windows update? What does that mean??
But why/how?Your windows isn’t configured if that’s the case.
For my 3rd install I followed @Romain337 step-by-step. I made sure I did all my windows updates, installed nvidia Geforce, installed control centre, then did benchmark. When you installed windows did you install the supplied PCS drivers or did you get all your drivers from windows update?
And you have no unknown devices in device manager? For my 3rd install I followed @Romain337 step-by-step. I made sure I did all my windows updates, installed nvidia Geforce, installed control centre, then did benchmark.
Yes, I had no unknown devices in device manager. I made sure of that. And you have no unknown devices in device manager?
Just try installing the Intel updater from here:Yes, I had no unknown devices in device manager. I made sure of that.
I’m installing GPU drivers via the Nvidia GeForce Experience. From Nvidia website https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/Also, where are you sourcing the gpu drivers? Have you got a link?
sorry to ask but you are installing the mobile drivers rather than desktop?
I installed this but it only installed drivers for my integrated graphics card, bluetooth and wireless drivers. I ran another benchmark. CPU still extremely poor.Just try installing the Intel updater from here:

I wonder if the chipset drivers are incompatible.
Yeah I think my only solution right now is to send it back to PC Specialist for them to inspect themselves. It really sucks. There is something very strange going on here.
To me those results say that your Windows is not configured but if you have done everything you say you have then Windows must be configured correctly. Which leads me to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with the laptop and it needs to go back?
Sorry I’m not sure what XTU is. And I’m a bit scared to mess with the Bios in case I mess things up further. Thanks for your advice thoughYour CPU turbo is locked to 1.75Ghz in this one. In your first benchmark your cpu turbo is locked to 2Ghz. Even with a windows with no drivers the CPU is not locked like that. Maybe check the windows power settings and all.
Otherwise you can restart from the begining and check when the lock happen (using the task manager).
If it is locked right after the windows install, that could be some CPU tweak done with XTU or something else that got into the BIOS... did you used XTU or something like that ? I cannot provide much more help than that. Good luck.
I really hope they turn this around quickly for you mate. I know how disappointing it is to have to RMA a laptop straight after receiving it.So unfortunately I’ve had to schedule a RMA for this Monday. Quite disappointed with this overall. Hopefully I’m not gonna have to wait a long while for the repairs to be made.
