Hello everyone,
I've got an Inferno L2 on order. Obviously there's a run on monitors at the moment so with basically nothing in stock I went for the Iiyama ProLite B2791QSU-B1 since it would get me started and make a decent secondary monitor when I work out what primary I want to get.
I've read the (excellent) gaming monitors guide, but feel I still don't know enough to make an informed decision.
I don't really play online FPS games - the games I've put the most time into are Skyrim, X3, Mount & Blade and Total War so I want a monitor that will make these and similar games look epic. This leads me to think that high contrast ratio and wide colour gamut are more important to me than response time. The general advice is that VA panels have better contrast, while IPS panels have richer colour. Since I'm not sure which is more important to me I'm a bit stuck.
Can anyone suggest a good 1440p monitor for me? Budget would be happy with something in the £400-500 range, could stretch to £550. Screen size of 27-31" seems to be the sweet spot but I'd consider others.
