Good spec for general use and light gaming?

Kind of/maybe/probably, but it's not really what I'd recommend.

First, AMD's new release comes out on Thursday, with a good chance of bringing a significant change to what makes a good system.

Second, what kind of programming are you doing? What makes a good system for, say, Linux kernal development is very different to what you need for web development in JS. What monitor will you be using? What games do you play?

My aim is to become a software developer so I need a system which can handle that side of programming. I’m currently studying web development. I’m also thinking off using

AOC - G2790VXA 27 INCH VA FHD 144Hz MM HDMI DP.​

Not too sure about which games but it will be light gaming maybe playing 2-3x a week.
