If it’s purely for gaming then you’ve got the wrong CPU…you want the 9800X3D.

For a 5090 and it’s huge power draw, I’d be going for a 1200w+ PSU.

Do already have drives to swap in, as that ultra-fast 1TB T705 will fill up quite quickly with about 8 modern games, so you'd need a 2-4tb SSD games storage drive as well.

That’s rather my entire point, why are you not upgrading?

Pointless buying a custom pc if you’re going to replace it mid-lifetime just for a GPU boost.
Do you think I have wasted my time doing this and should wait for the 6 Series instead?

I think you’re misunderstanding what’s being said.

Weather now or 6000 series is irrelevant, in both cases you’d just upgrade your current pc.

Thats the whole point of a custom pc, that’s what you’ve paid all the money for is a good platform that can accept upgrades.

If you feel you need more performance now, then a 5000 series is a good idea

But replacing the whole pc is pointless and won’t get you any better performance, but will cost you significantly more, it’s just a waste of money

Yes, I did misunderstand, thank you for clarifying. But when I tried to upgrade my PC via the upgrade function on PC Specialist, it does not allow me to upgrade to the 5 series cards at all!

You already have a thread open on this, you were listening to feedback about upgrading as you have a perfectly good system?

Hey sir, thanks but my question is a little different now as I decided to continue with the build. This one is a simple ask on whether I could possibly upgrade anything. With that said I did try to delete the old thread, but I was unsure how to do it. With that said, I'm happy to delete this one and update the other. Thank you.

Hi all,

I noticed that PCS seem to be offering only the lower tier 5090 cards on their website. The ASUS TUF, the Zotac Solid and the MSI Ventus 3xOC. I know stocks are low be they could be left on pre-order.

Does anyone know if this was a conscious choice and why?

Thanks

Only PCS could answer this, none of us work for them, but you really need to hear the feedback and stick to the one thread please
