Do you think they'll approve my RMA request?

As per the RMA instructions, you need to clearly label it.
Hiya! So I still had this box my laptop came in and I checked the thing in RMA that said I have original packaging, and the email I just got says "
Dear x
Just a gentle reminder that our courier will be collecting your return (RMA xxxx) on Wednesday, 16 October 2024 between 8am and 6pm. Please ensure that the computer is packaged accordingly with your name, address and RMA number visible on the outer packaging"

So I just write my name, address and RMA number on the box right? I just did it with marker but now I'm worried if actually it interferes with some label DPD might give me?

I wanted to also keep the bigger box this box came in but my dog really likes boxes and ended up ruining it...so I just have this one that has these Styrofoam things inside to secure laptop? I hope it's fine, I'll send email just to be sure?

I got it back and it's better than ever! The windows was corrupted and my dog's fur and some kind of metal dust was inside it? I bought Liquid Cooling but can't seem to find any tutorial or booklet, does anyone know how I do it? I used my old laptop to practice opening the back and cleaning fans with air can so I won't trouble them again 😅

As we said at the start, as you hadn't serviced it, it would have been overheating long term. Any performance laptop needs to be serviced at least once a year otherwise it will overheat

This should certainly be mostly similar: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/video-guide-for-recoil-watercooler.93915/
Yup I learned how to do it! The issue wasn't the dust though, it was corrupted Windows 11 that also ruined the drivers for touchpad, speakers and affected charging? Got it back and the speakers have never sounded so loud and clear before! I ended up on some site called Reddit where apparently Windows 11 latest update was doing the same to loads of people, but I'm glad I left a bit of a care package for the techs for being kind enough to sort it all out for me :D Thanks for the guide, I hope I can get this set up and see the difference in performance ^^

That video is for the first model, I think the subsequent models have improved the process, so it may be far smoother getting it connected.

Let us know how you get on.

I...don't think this is happening? These cables do not connect at all...very daunting experience, it feels flimsy and like I'll spill water everywhere with one wrong move. I wish this came with actual instructions, I will contact support and show this? Maybe I'm missing a part?

When you were pushing into the cooling unit it appeared that you never aligned the holes properly. Most likely down to using one hand. Can you try it properly with one hole in one side and show if there is a variance with the alignment of the second hole.

In the video guide at 55 minutes in you see the guy pulling off the connector just as easily as you did. You don't want to pull this off when it's connected to the system though, its not one of those things where you trial it while operating. Leave it alone as long as it isn't causing any issues. The connection to the laptop seemed fine. I don't think you need the adapter but at the same time I'm not sure what the pin is in the centre of the connector.

I've been at it for a while, I recorded it with one hand to explain and show what's going on? I'm sorry, I don't know what the pin is either...I'm looking at this video and it looks like his wires are disconnected from the thingy? maybe if I disconnect mine too? They're not joined together when it's at the liquid cooler, and well, I really don't think this is secure at all, the slightest movement could get water everywhere? Surely this cannot be right, and does PCS genuinely not have an instruction manual?

Here is another, I really don't know if this can be right...the cable just doesn't fit both ends? And when it does, slightest tug makes it go undone? I can already see myself pulling my laptop closer and getting water everywhere this can't be right...

Omg! I wasn't going crazy, they gave me completely wrong cable for the laptop I have! Look! I found the exact Liquid Cooler I was sent and it has that pin and it's supposed to click into place, but it can't because my laptop literally doesn't have that! It's impossible 🥲

Okay I feel like crying now because I got another BSOD and crash then noticed the top of my screen has this white line on it that wasn't there before...

The pin definitely had me confused. Unfortunately it is pretty easy to pull out as all the other instructions have shown in the past. The aim would be to get the laptop in a comfortable position and not move it while in use. Switch the unit off if you wanted to use disconnected.

With the BSOD just contact PCS to help out. They will help exchange the interface connection too. They will check the logs and possibly remote in to see what's going on :)

I'm supposed to pull it out??? Will that fix the magnetism issue of it simply refusing to go near my laptop? I've contacted pcs and just waiting, it seems whatever happened to screen was during transport according to them...I'm so sad, my friends on ESO were excited to play with me after two weeks and now I have to let them down...

I think there's a lot of misinterpretation over text so I wouldn't do anything until you have either a discussion with PCS over the phone or a face to face. I'm worried that what I'm saying is being misunderstood and would lead to issues.

What I meant was that the pin had me confused in general. The next statement was in regards to the cable only being held in by a magnet so it was indeed easy to pull out, that's to be expected as the videos show.

In honesty I don't think that cooling solution is ideally suited to yourself, as it's something that you would never feel confident or comfortable with. The system should work well without the cooling system now that it's all been well cleaned out etc.

Like I said though. I think it's best for you to only follow advice from PCS from this point forward. Too easy for us to think we are giving clear information but it isn't seen as such.

I contacted them through the chat service and I think I just want to go let the sea reclaim me? Because well, I'm autistic with speech difficulty, I can manage my stuttering when I've practiced and know what to say, but when I got surprise phone call...I think I was completely incoherent. To the point where they were like we are going to put a note so we only contact you through email...mortifying. I'm going to go cry to my speech therapist...but yeah they looked at my video and determined there was a mix-up and they'd sent me the wrong cable. They'll be sending me the proper cable soon. Until then I guess I play something low intensity, like Chrono Trigger...I'm a bit sad to be letting down my friends on ESO, I was supposed to take them through veteran trials and teach them mechanics but I don't want to do something intensive before getting the cooling sorted, especially after last night BSOD...just mortifying...they were so nice but utterly mortifying...
