Im worried that you will...but also that adding more fans is more of a sticky plaster as there are some other issues going on.

Have you just ordered it? Or is it being built already?

I ordered it yesterday, my friend helped me configure it so I sorta trusted his knowledge. Is it not very good ?

Whats your budget, what are you going to be using it for and what monitor are you hooking it up to?
My honest, best advice is to cancel the order and let the people here spec something up for you, i'm pretty much 100% sure a spec can be put together than will much, much better than what you have above, and what you have above is not going to last you (i'm sorry).

Theres also a real chance you could even save money doing it... did you pay finance or buy outright?

Im sorry mate, I dont mean to be the bearer of bad news. But I genuinely flinched at some of the bits and i'm really worried about that case having real thermal problems.

My budget is around £1500, damn is it really that bad ? I can try and cancel it. I suppose it’s better I actually asked than found out the hard way. What is so bad about it though ? I
Trusted my friend with this one

Ok, whats your monitor/planned monitor...assuming its 1080p if you're going with a 3060 GPU?
Guessing gaming too... can you tell me more about what kind of games you play? Other uses too, streaming, content creation that kinda thing.

The CPU is nearly 3 years old and 2 generations out of date, the case is very budget and will toast your components.
What we can do is spec you a new build which you can save as a quote, and then ring up PCS and swap it across without losing your queue place, although with it only being ordered yesterday you could cancel without any major difference.

MrWilson has put it far more gently that I have.
But theres a LOT that can be done, even if you look at using older generation components to save on cash, there are far better choices that will still come in on budget but give you far better performance.

And yes, that case is going to roast everything, especially with an Intel chip and the cooler youve chosen.

My monitor is only 1080p, I’m not too bothered about 4K, and yeah it’s for gaming I was gonna play a wide range of games. But I guess mainly RTS games. No content creation or steaming.

Ah damn I read the CPU was supposed to be good and my mate recommended it. I’ll probably just cancel it if it’s not gonna make a big difference. I’m in no rush to get it and I wanna make sure it’s correct.

I will definitely be playing new Total war games, and other new RTS games. I’d also like to play red dead redemption 2 as well. No streaming or anything else, just for gaming and my University work but that’s only on Microsoft word so I’m not sure that matters at all.

Also, if you have an old PC you are getting rid of, you can save yourself £120 and transfer your licence rather than buying a new one.
That can then go towards maybe a TUF 550 or 570 motherboard and improving the storage choices, either for a samsung 980 as the operating drive or a better second drive for games etc...

Theres lots of tweeking options.

You might even be able to put a Intel 12th gen build together... but that is something for the experts to play with i'm not hugely familiar with current prices etc so i'm not going to get the absolute best out of your money.

Ah ok I do have an old PC but not sure what’s happening to it I’ll take a look into that.

I really am a lot more clueless than I thought with all this lol, I took my mates advice on parts but also researched them myself. It seemed that it was a decent build except for the fans problem. I guess I’ll research it a bit more and maybe post the specs before buying this time.

Generally speaking, the PCS "own brand" cases are to be avoided.
Careful with the coolers, the one you chose is pretty old... dont touch the hydro series.
Depending on what CPU you have, theres different options for coolers that will happily do the job, higher spec the CPU the better the cooler you will want, and with Intel, high spec coolers are always a wise choice, they produce a lot of heat.

10th Gen Intel are easily beaten by their AMD counterparts... its 12th Gen Intel that took the lead back, so bear that in mind if taking an older CPU

When thinking of PSU, you want headroom on it, it will allow for future GPU upgrades without having to replace, you also dont want to run a PSU at full load...it shortens its lifespan

Gaming in general is a 16Gb RAM affair, unless you are looking at stuff like MSFS2020 which actually uses the extra RAM

Dont fall to hard for "branded" motherboards like Gigabyte, the TUF series from Asus are very good, and normally much lighter on the wallet

If you get a Corsair cooler, you wont need the arctic paste, the stuff it comes with is equally good and youll save a tenner and avoid the risk of a bad paste job (which youll have a higher chance with as they have to scrape the old paste off and manually reapply)

Intel M2 Drives werent as good as some of the others, and its worth taking a 500Gb operating system drive and separate drive for games, even the PCS own ones are actually pretty reliable. Go with a good 500GB one thats fast for the operating system, and then you can take something like a 1TB one thats lower spec for games, they wont really make use of the speed anything like what the OS would.

Hope thats helpful.

If you arent in a rush, i'd cancel the order you put in and give it a day or two to get some replies off the proper regulars here and the mods.
They will be able to give you the best results, where i'm a bit out of the loop and not familiar with the current prices/latest release kit.

But you can quite safely cancel the order you put in, trust me, you dont want it.
(Or indeed, what MrWilson suggested and build a spec as a quote and get in touch with customer services...but you'll need to do it before they start building or theres extra cost......personally, lead times are good atm, i'd cancel and start fresh)
