Difference between SSD and 2.M SSD

Can anyone explain me the difference between me putting an SSD as my Hard drive 1, and taking an SSD on the M.2 SSD slot?

Thank you for any answers

The differences are minimal in terms of user experience. The main benefit of an mSATA SSD is that you don't use up a HDD bay, so should you wish to, you are free to add a HDD for mass storage later.

The mSATA port can also stop you having to use the optical bay as an extra HDD spot.

So basically you want to use the m.2 slot rather than the HDD slot if you can ever envisage a situation where you may need to add more storage to your machine. If you never plan to add more then it makes very little practical difference.

Should i go for EVO 212 or H100i

I've seen many comparisons between those two and i'm still not sure which one to chose.

I'm still afraid of the water-cooling and the fact it may leak and ruin my whole build, but at the same time i love how tidy it makes the computer and how it does not take as much space as the evo 212.

I really need help and advice on want to chose!

Thank you for any responses!

If you are not planning on overclocking then the liquid cooler is pointless.
No need to worry about it leaking. If it was going to leak then it would do it when your build is still under warranty. Otherwise you can be assured it will not leak.

As above said, The 212 is a very good cpu cooler and is fine for high end gaming, but if you plan to do over clocking or extreme gaming/pushing your cpu too its limits then i would say the H100i, But, the other liquid coolers are probably better due to the larger price of the H100i, I would recommend the cheaper liquid coolers, eg the H60, as they will still be good for overclocking. But yes as Geeza said.

It's a bit of an unfair comparison, the H100i costs £85 and the EVO 212 costs £25...

The H100i does perform better (obviously) but costs a lot more and is unnecessary in most cases, it's only needed when overclocking. The EVO 212 is perfectly fine for light over clocking or just to reduce your temps a bit.

As The Geeza said, leaking is covered by the warranty, so they'd have to replace your entire system.

How long is the warranty for? 3 years is it?

I would go then with the H80 maybe, just do a bit of overclocking but still keep the nice look. I mainly want it to look nice.

If going for liquid cooling, personally i'd want atleast 2 years warranty from PCS.

However, i think most (if not all) of the leaking issues relating to ALC (all in one liquid coolers) were 1st generation coolers, such as the original Coolit Eco I's. The latest corsair liquid coolers are unlikely to leak/burst.

Is there no chance of the h100/h80 screwing up and leaking?
Also do PCS perform the leak test?

I've heard that you use the liquid cooler and you run it for 24hrs non-stop out of the computer to check if it leaks.

if it was leaking, it would leak regardless of whether the unit was leaking or not.

and yes PCS to test stress test the PC's - in a hot room I think.

Only got for the H80 or H80i if you have a pretty large case, otherwise it will simply be too big and will look pretty naf and you wont get the best cooling/airflow out of the system.

This is my current build and I'm pretty sure with everything except the cooling, Im just VERY paranoid about the liquid leaking and ruining my build.

A few questions,
- are you planning to SLI? - if not, you could drop the 1000w psu.
- are you planning to overclock? if so, you will need at least a h80i/h100i
- you should get a caviar black drive over the standard sata drive.

I'd go for the hyper 212 cooler over a liquid cooler tbh, rather not take the risk.

-I am going to SLI in future (Lowerd the PSU to 850W as people said it should be fine for SLI)
-I am planning to overclock
-It's over my budget ( Changed to the one you recommended)

U said i should go for h100i or h80i if i want to oc but then u said i should go for hyper 212 ?

Confused. e.e

sorry, if you want to overclock most aircoolers are just not going to cut it bud. I

sorry my bad, if you are overclocking you will need a liquid cooler for best results, however, if you are not overclocking then i'd go for the hyper 212.

The thing is I do want to overclock, but i am scared that if i get the h80i it will leak.
I'm still wondering SHOULD i be so worried or is that extremely rare?
