Hello
I am looking for a system that will cope with video editing using Adobe CS Premiere. This will consist of converting hundreds of Hi8 Analogue tapes to digital format. Then editing and saving to DVD/Blu-ray.
I am also wanting to seriously play MS Flight Simulator and X-Plane 11 at the highest resolution with the smoothest of graphics.
I have been exploring configurations to incorporate my wish list of:
The configuration I have come up with is:

The questions I have are:
* Is the above USB 2.0 Blu-ray Writer and 8X DVD Writer an internal component mounted at the front of the desktop?
I do appreciate lots of questions but with the considerable expenditure I want to make sure I have the right configuration for both gaming and video editing.
Many thanks
I am looking for a system that will cope with video editing using Adobe CS Premiere. This will consist of converting hundreds of Hi8 Analogue tapes to digital format. Then editing and saving to DVD/Blu-ray.
I am also wanting to seriously play MS Flight Simulator and X-Plane 11 at the highest resolution with the smoothest of graphics.
I have been exploring configurations to incorporate my wish list of:
* Processor and mother board able to meet the demands of both video editing and flight simulation.
* A graphics card to give the smoothest simulation at the highest graphic setting for the flight simulation.
* Case to allow the fitting of an Internal USB 2.0 Blu-ray Writer and 8X DVD Writer, 2 x HDD, sound card plus the ability to allow for future expansion.
* 1TB SSD disk for the operating system and 2 x 8TB Hard Disks
The configuration I have come up with is:
https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/intel-z690-pc/HXZZEAUJXg/
The questions I have are:
* Will the processor, Intel Core i9-12900K CPU 16 Cores, 24 Threads 3.2 – 5.2GHz. satisfy the requirements of both the video editing and flight simulation. Does the performance of this processor, justify the addition cost of £114.99 were I to go for the cheaper Intel Core i7-12700K CPU, 16 Cores* / 24 Threads, 3.4GHz? Is there any where that I am able to compare the performance of both processors?
* For both gaming and video editing, which would be the best motherboard: the ASUS® ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 or the ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus Wi-Fi D4?
* Grateful if you could confirm the selected graphics card, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card, will provide the high performance / frame rate, and smoothness when playing Flight Simulator. My monitor is a Dell UltraSharp U3818DW Ultra-Wide Monitor (Screen resolution 3840 x 1600, 60Hz image refresh rate).
* I am not really into all the flashing LED lights and glass sides. I just want a black desktop computer which ideally has a front door/panel that opens to allow access to the Internal USB 2.0 Blu-ray Writer and 8X DVD Writer and ideally a USB 3.0 Card Reader. I appreciate I can get an external card reader. In addition, the case should allow the installing of 2 x additional hard drives and possibly a 5.1 sound card if needed, 4 Port USB 3.0 PCIe Card. Ideally it should have 3 x USB3 sockets and I x USB C socket at the front. I have selected the Cooler Master Silencio S600 Mid-Tower. Is there a more suitable case for my needs?
* Do you offer a front mounted internal Card Reader?
* With the inbuilt HD audio, is there any benefit in fitting a separate 5.1 sound card.
* Is the above USB 2.0 Blu-ray Writer and 8X DVD Writer an internal component mounted at the front of the desktop?
I do appreciate lots of questions but with the considerable expenditure I want to make sure I have the right configuration for both gaming and video editing.
Many thanks
