This is where I'd look for starters, I've upped the CPU and motherboard to latest gen, reduced the GPU to the 2060, with your monitors the 3070 is wasting money that can be put into the main base of the build, I've tweaked the storage slightly, giving you a nice really fast M.2 for the system drive, a slower but still really fast M.2 for your games drive and a HDD for general storage, I've also upped the cooler and PSU

I would go for the Intel 670p over the Corsair MP400, as it has better write endurance. Be sure not to pick any other Intel drive as these have worse write endurance.

Yeah i keep forgetting that the 670p is way better than previous intel m.2

Ok going to go off piste here and tell you to upgrade to a 5800X, TUF X570 Motherboard and Corsair 4000D Airflow case. To pay for that I I drop the GPU from a 3070 to a 2060, as there is no point having a 3070 until you have 1440p monitors. I drop the HDD completely (if you need more storage you can fit it later for £50), drop PSU to RMx 750W (still enough to upgrade GPU back to something 3070 like), and the extra fan (you have a better H115i cooler and an airflow case with two fans). Add silver warranty for a £5.

Comes in at £1,701 so just over your budget.

@Martinr36. Did you mean to spec an Asus Dual 2060 GPU? I assume you meant a single 2060. Given that, your spec comes in at just £1,583.

A variation on your spec could be to upgrade the GPU to a 3060, change 2nd SDD from Corsair to Intel, drop extra fan (case has 3 fans already) and add in £5 Silver warranty. Comes in a £1,681.

That's not a bad compromise in terms of giving system a decent GPU (with 12GB ram) but still having latest Zen 3 AMD CPU with great cooler and PSU for upgrades.

No i didn't mean to spec the dual 2060, and yeah the changes you've made make sense, definitely a step up from what the OP started off with and only spent another £49

Thanks guys, ill likely go with your changes, just wondering what the purpose of 2 M.2 drives is, do they just serve as alternative storage rather than having a SSD or HDD installed? also would you change your choice of GPU if I bought a new monitor right away? also isnt an 850w PSU overkill for the 3060?

The reasoning behind the 2 M.2 drives is the fastest an smallest on is for your system drive and the slightly slower one is for your games, so should you ever have to fresh install the OS you don't need to reinstall all the games.

850W PSU gives headroom for future upgrades

The other reasons for the RMX 850W PSU are; fans don’t operate at lower loads -makes for a quieter PC; PSUs are most efficient at moderate loads; the PSU is less stressed, so will likely last much longer

yes an SSD would be cheaper (not by a lot) and the fastest ssd would be about a quarter of the speed of the slowest M.2.
Generally we spec a 500GB for the system drive
