The way Origin have struggled lately with launches like Sim City you would assume they have learnt from their mistakes, especially as BF4 will have a lot more 'traffic'. I'm not sure of the in-depth details but as a lot of the servers are hosted by actual users renting them off external sites rather than official EA ones I would assume it should be fine... Dunno what everybody else thinks of that theory though?

Sounds sensible... I know my BF clan have already reserved (and paid for!) a BF4 server. I suspect there will be more fun had with bugs and glitches rather than server availability in the first few months.

Yeah, 25 Cds sounds unlikely
BF3 was 34gb (with DLC). According to wikipedia (which as we all know is definitely a reliable source) a DVD holds 8.5gb, so 4 DVDs is possible, but I expect it will be 2 or 3 discs.

Would there be much difference between the size of the xbox game and the pc game? The xbox game was 2 disks last year and I'm fairly sure the installation disk was optional for HD textures?

I'll only be buying the base game in disc format, I don't mind downloading the DLC packs anyway

Finally ordered PF4 + Premium. Went for the bundle deal from Simply CD Keys in the end as it was the best deal I could find... As long as I get over 60 hours play out of the game it'll work out fine, i.e. at least £1 / hour of entertainment!

Just wondered if anybody had their head fully around the whole Minimap on a secondary monitor thing yet? I've heard you can have the secondary monitor as your laptop or tablet or an ordinary monitor but does anyone know if they've released a list of supported devices yet? I have an old 19 inch LCD I suppose I could use but ideally I'd love to use my Chromebook. Hadn't really heard much about the feature at all until recently to be honest, seems like a nice addition..

Release dates for BF4 updated a day or so ago. Unfortunately those of us in the UK have to wait 3 days more than the US and a day more than the rest of Europe to play...

Yup, I'd always planned on a Friday night BF4 fest... start the preload on Thursday and play when I get back from home on the Friday...

Apart from giving the US and mainland Europe a head start, the only reason I can think of is to ease load on the servers providing the game files.

Hey Grimezy I would imagine that the bf4 map would run on any device that has access to battlelog - if a phone can utilize it I imagine any monitor / tablets would also be able to - when in beta I had bf4 1920x1080 on my middle monitor and the map in full screen 1920 x 1080 on my right monitor did have some pics - cant find them on my pc - I am sure I posted them in a pcs forum.
