Advice on specs needed

The 5000D has an obscene amount of fans, three at front, two in top, one at back, i think two on the underside and then three at the side (towards the front).

The word overkill doesnt really do it justice... it also comes with fans that arent commercially available atm, I think they are due for release in a few months. Personally, i'd take the 680X or 500D SE, both would suit your build very well and I think look far nicer.

The 500D SE also already comes with a commander pro...
I think the 680X also has commander pro if i remember rightly from the vids I've seen. Definitely something i need to think about but thanks to you guys atleast the core is nailed down thank you.

It has a lighting node pro, not the commander pro.
So RGB controller only. The commander pro does both.

That's a good advise.

Corsair fans (from their website):
140mm LL fans: up to 1300 RPM, 25 dBA 51.5 CFM
140mm ML fans: up to 1200 RPM, 20.4 dBA, 55.4 CFM

ML max is slightly slower but they're significantly quieter and they still push more air than LL, also ML has less (7 blades) comparing to LL (9 blades) - that lets ML to intake more air due to bigger blades but also gaps.

I would look ar ML120, £12 (non RGB) for corsair ML120 which are 2400rpm.

Im not sure your figures are right either, Corsair ML140 are 400rpm to 2000rpm?

If you do go with your own fans, installation is incredibly easy.

Screw them into the case (open side is intake) run the pin connectors and rgb connectors to the commander. Plug the commander into a usb header on the motherboard and connect to a sata power cable.

Thanks for pointing out. I actually deleted my comment there. I most likely looked something wrong.

Checked Amazon from your link and it seems correct there as it's matching Corsair website... Not sure were I looked before.
What did you say before? The RBG pro are around £30 per fan

edit: i just saw... the non RGB fans must run faster, as mine don’t get even close to 2000rpm, even set to extreme... the elite capellix ones go to 1400 and the other 3 go to around 1000rpm.

Quick question is the ASUS PCE-AX58BT 802.11AX much better than the INTEL® WI-FI 6 AX200 that was recommended?

Hi everyone.

I was looking at the Cosair 680x case it has since been removed from the config any idea if or when it would be back?

Not a clue - if you're wanting that case specifically and wanting to order, you could always source yourself and send to PCS (just an option)?

I would have thought that you would want the first m.2 drive to be the faster one, as that is the one that will have your OS and programmes on it.

This looks amazing. Agree with Bigfoot about making the 1st M.2 a 980 drive instead. The 5000X is a fantastic case, super large, comes with three RGB fans, looks great and will be a perfect fit for the build you have! I perfer it over the 680X personally.

If you did want the 680X, I'd call PCS to see when it'll be back. I believe PCS charge 160-170 for it where as it's 250 to source it yourself and send it from Corsiar, it will be a LOT more expensive for the same case and more hassle

Thanks for spotting that it is supposed to be the Pro version which is 6900MB.

Main question i was asking was about the case but the post got moved here probably because i added the build tho i only did that so as those offering advice had an idea of what was going in it as i trying to gage if it going to be suitable for the build or if there would be issues with airflow.

Have you any experience with this case?

Yes it was an over sight on my part the M.2 drive was supposed to be that one i will remember to change that up.

Thank you for input on the case i wasn't to sure tho the case had some mixed reviews i wasn't sure if I'd be putting to much in there which would cause problems.

The 500D/X comes with an intake on the non showy side so assuming the builder puts some of the fans there you should be good. If it's something you're worried about the 5000D Airflow is a great option. Although as it only includes 2 black fans as standard, so you'll definitely want the extra fans you specced.

Swap out your storage. You have a gen 3 (970) main and a gen 4 (980) as your games drive from the looks of it. You want the OS on your fastest drive and smallest drive, incase you need to clean install windows.

Personally if i was going with 5 extra fans, i’d probably go for the 5000D Airflow as it cools better, but the 5000X is still a very high performing case and depends entirely on what you prefer... glass or airflow front.

Thanks an yes the storage issue was an error should have been a 980 not a 970.

The 5000D won't let me set the 5 extra fans only has room for 3 more but will check out some reviews to see where the fans sit.

The configurator doesn’t work for it, so would need to phone. The 5000 case can hold 10 fans
