I see. In this case I assume I will have to send back mine. I suppose for that I have to call them too, right?oookay, latest news, they asked me to send it back. it's going to take a while.
yeah, you need to call them. it took me 30 minutes on hold to get throughI see. In this case I assume I will have to send back mine. I suppose for that I have to call them too, right?

I purchased it with no operating system and install Windows 10 Pro afterwards.
You would need to contact PCS as we've not been able to find any solution.Hi all, same problem here, nova laptop with ryzen 3600 and rtx 2060.
Came with windows pre-installed and no working brightness, i re-installed windows and all the drivers including the clevo control center, no change.
It is weird to see so many hardware faults so is it fair to suppose it's a bios/vbios issue? It's driving me nuts, brightness forced at 100% isn't that bad but it's the only issue that separates this laptop from being ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, so i can't stand it.
Any help besides RMA? (i'm in italy, rma could take weeks..)
Ok i'll do it monday, thanks anyway, let's just hope it's not a hardware issue...You would need to contact PCS as we've not been able to find any solution.
They're open today if that's any help.Ok i'll do it monday, thanks anyway, let's just hope it's not a hardware issue...
Yes they are open in UK but not in Italy, no big deal to wait until Monday, it's a desktop replacement anyway ahhahaha, let's hope no other problems pop upThey're open today if that's any help.

well, i suspected that as well. so tried with linux, which got exactly same issue, sliders showed up but the panel didn't change brightness. with eDP panels, the brightness is directly controlled by GPU via eDP signal. if it's indeed OS or driver issue, i wouldn't expect neither windows or linux was working. it seems that brightness control reached GPU, but GPU is not talking to the panel in correct protocol.I did an internet search about this issue earlier on and I found a lot of forums topics and articles in various places with the same issue (on a variety of laptop makes and models) which all indicated a Windows issue (most were from late 2019 when a Windows update seemed to be the culprit). Am wondering if Microsoft has fully resolved that issue and so it still shows up in some makes and models? Just speculation on my part and may not even be related
LM156LF-1F02 produced in "week 1/2019", id NCP004B as far as i can see on aida64interesting, i thought only RTX 2070 has the problem. could you please check with AIDA64 which display model model you have? thank you

Edit: In Aida 64, in the "PCI/AGP video card" section there's the rtx 2060 but if i go in the "GPU" section..there's an rtx 2070...WTF? "PCI Express 3.0 x16 nVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070"
well i don't really now at this point, my rtx 2060 sucks 120 watt of power and apparently pcspecialist doesn't yet have the refreshed rtx gpus so..what the hell is happening here? Performance wise it definetly seems a 2070 (laptop one) and thermal wise it never went beyond 78° so i guess i'm good.🙃 this smiles like vbios issue or you got a free upgrade 😅
Man that’s odd, it’s like it’s a 2070 flashed with a 2060 vbioswell i don't really now at this point, my rtx 2060 sucks 120 watt of power and apparently pcspecialist doesn't yet have the refreshed rtx gpus so..what the hell is happening here? Yeah it is weird, the first thing i did is istalling gpu'z and it says it's a rtx 2060, both aida64 and gpu-z say that the device ID is 10DE-1F15 which is (following some videos and posts online) the id of 2020 rtx 2060s. At this point it definetly seems a refreshed 115 watt version (sucking 120 watt but nvm) but i still cannot explain the "rtx 2070" recognized by the pci/agp card section in aida (yet, in that same section aida tells me the device id is the one i wrote earlier, meaning it's actually a 2060 unless aida is giving me random numbers, which is possible)Man that’s odd, it’s like it’s a 2070 flashed with a 2060 vbios
Tell you what, install GPU-z and see what that lists it as:
