I think he has an auto approval budget of up to £50k and even if they did notice I don't particularly think they would care. They spent 30k per person flying 4 of them business to Singapore for a last minute meeting shortly before Covid. Would have been about £5k per person if then had waited a...
If I'm honest I'm pretty sure his work could be done on a £400 desktop PC. Outlook, Teams Small Excel Spreadsheets etc.
I think he may have work buying him a desk too lol.
Since you were all so helpful when I was getting my PC I though I would come back for advice.
My boss has asked me to help him spec a new PC but he has a slightly different requirement.
The company are buying him a PC for when he is working from home and there are no cost limits (although...
I believe this system would cost about the same and would provide a better experience.
I have put a few comments to explain the changes.
This would pair nicely with a 1440p 144hz monitor. If you are planning on using a 1080p monitor I would suggest a cheaper graphics card as you would be wasting...
Just over your budget but this would give you a far better experience than an all in one and also the capability to upgrade later (hence the 750W PSU).
I have added my thinking next to the choices below.
Case
FRACTAL FOCUS G BLACK GAMING CASE (Window) (Budget case with decent airflow)...
One of the experts may be able to give more advice but that is not a very powerful cooler and both the 11 series i7 and the RTX 3070 give off a lot of heat. I also looks like you have the Corsair 175R Mid Tower Case which I have no experience of but it looks like a bit of an oven with a smallish...
As a fellow Toffee we can now breath again. Although we do like to make it hard for ourselves don't we.
My worry is I don't see things improving significantly next season. Even if (with some creative accounting) we aren't in breach of financial fair play rules we are so close we wont be able to...
For £24 more I believe you will get a much better experience with the build below I have added my reasoning next to each item.
Alternatively go for the 2nd option below and buy a GPU later when hopefully prices continue to decrease. (this will still run Minecraft and other light gaming)
Case...
I believe that is a 1080p monitor in which case you are overspending and will see no benefit.
I would suggest the following which is still a bit overspeced. I believe it is also better balanced.
The Lancool case seems to be the one people recommend in that price range.
The RAM you selected is...
Unfortunately I would not recommend the system above. The CPU / GPU you have selected especially. You could get the 5600G cheaper than the CPU/GPU combo you selected and the integrated graphics it comes with are better than the GT 730.
The system below would be the cheapest I would recommend...
I would suggest the following and then buy a graphics card later if you find you need one.
You will be able to play a surprising number of games using the AMD integrated graphics and lower settings and the compromises to the rest of the system to add the GPU are not worth it in my opinion.
GPUs...
What is your budget. The system you have selected will struggle with most current games let alone future ones and there is no real scope for upgrades due to the case and psu you have chosen. What monitor will you be using?
