And system going through the same weird stuff on desktop now. Weird artifacts on screen when I log in. Can't interact with anything and just reboots. Think there may be something more serious here than some EXPO settings as much as that helped for a little while.
So had another crash (screen went green and system rebooted) but it did go back to desktop with no DRAM errors although obviously still the root cause here.
Annoying but hopefully they sort this out quickly as trying to use a system that may just reboot at any time is not great.
Update: Tried...
Hey, I had consigned myself to sending it back at this stage so I'm taking the small victory (with thanks to you!).
And yes, way too much pressure on ASUS to keep ducking this.
I actually think it's working now, doing a fresh install of Win 11 but gone through a couple of restarts so far with zero issues.
Thank you very much, guess I'll be non EXPO until ASUS sort this stuff out!
So I got my system. Had the latest (non BETA) BIOS. Was going along fine until I got a crazy grey screen and weird noises from my speaker.
Did a restart but just kept going to a black screen. Had a look in window if the case and had a yellow light on the MB with "DRAM" written beside it :(...
Yeah just reading about the AGESA bugs. Seems 1.0.0.9 should be out pretty soon. Hopefully sorts out most of the issues.
Must be a lot of people out there though with machines like this bought months ago that would not know about these issues and would never think to check for BIOS updates...
Still waiting on my system, currently in "Testing - problem" stage, hopefully nothing too serious!
I can see the BETA AGESA BIOS update for my board on the site now, assume I will have to update when my system gets here. Will ask for permission of course (as it may impact warranty) but I guess...
Non-BETA now released (for my board anyway), hopefully all others too.
TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI BIOS 1413
Version 1413
9.11 MB
2023/04/27
SoC voltage for Ryzen 7000X3D series limited to a maximum of 1.30V to protect the CPU and motherboard.
And at least we know to disable EXPO if not, which is extremely easy to do in the BIOS (just flipping a drop down menu) until we get a fully verified fix.
I'm assuming it's against policy to put in BETA BIOS versions and understandably so, they are risky. As this is such a serious issue I'd hazard a guess there will be fully verified versions out very soon to rectify this from all MB partners & AMD.
And this is for the MB I chose. Severely doubt PCS will install this in a beta but hopefully get a fully verifed non beta shortly.

I was in touch about my build in the queue awaiting production. Confirmed that they do install the latest BIOS but only if it's verified and tested.
I think for now when we get our systems that turning EXPO off until resolved should help alleviate any fears and then when fully fixed with new...
I was the same. When I ordered the DDR5 32GB 6000 kit it did not specify if it was AMD or Intel. Guessing it will be AMD one since it's an AM5 board and AMD chip?
The new BIOS being released seems to be limiting the voltage anyway so should be good going forward.
To answer on updating the...
I'm also awaiting a system to be built with 7800X3D and Asus TUF Gaming WiFi. Seems the issue is across all chips and boards. I'm sure it will be fixed by the time I get the system but some more info below on the issue. Definitely worth looking at for those that have already received systems...
