I'd agree with that, but the same would have been true if they had £700 to spend - it hasn't stopped a low end PC being badly limited but it has made them accessible to quite a few more people
Well, you wait ages for one and then three come along at once! https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/reviews/
The top end (Scimitar) leaves me a bit confused by some of the corners being cut (on RAM and M.2 speed) but I may be missing something - not costed up the savings here.
The mid-point option...
It does depend on your uses, what do you plan on using it for - just gaming or Streaming, Video editing and so on too? I'd be inclined to bump the PSU a little - even if you don't need the extra power now it would make it easier to upgrade the GPU down the line - lets you extend the life of the...
Hi, What is it you plan on using the PC for - gaming? streaming? It would help to know. Also do you have a set budget - is this over budget, under?
In general, you would get a more cost effective version from one of the AMD configurators, here...
I'm working from home, doing online classes and so on. Its kinda hard to remind yourself that you are still at work when you are in your home and dressing gown. My wife think it will all be fine but I'm more stressed. I'm in favour of boarding up the door and digging a warren under the house to...
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but I've only just seen this go up on the PCS site:

Might be worth pointing it out to people when they ask for help with builds, so that they understand delays are very likely.
And the 2013 tomb raider is now free:

Happy isolation to you all!
VR on a ship? I'm a big VR fan but wow, you sir are hardcore! I'm forever explaining to people who have tried cheap, rubbish vr and gotten queasy that a decent bit of kit (rift/vive or better) is a whole different ballgame but even good kit with a moving floor is a scary prospect for me.
I...
4K and you would certainly need a gpu upgrade! I guess you need to get to a showroom and see a few in action - too small and not much point in going for a higher res.
I am the sort of person who gets wound up by people confusing the words 'to and 'too'. I don't like this about myself, it doesn't make me proud - it just is. Unfortunately my keyboard's O key is playing up (maybe just needs a clean) and sometimes it double presses, sometimes it doesn't activate...
The thing is, it is the tech that syncs the gpu output to the monitor which would really help there - it used to be freesync for AMD and Gsync for Nvidia but these days I think at least Nvidia cards can usually use both. There is a really good monitor thread on these forums - I'll dig around for...
So, looking at that I'd say (and I'm far from an expert) that you have a very good quality PC. The case is a bit low end, that and the CPU will limit major upgrades, but I really don't think that you need major upgrades. Is there anything that you are trying to do, where the PC is letting you...
What is the PC for? If it is gaming then the gpu upgrade will usually have a lot more impact than a cpu upgrade - especially since the 2600 is a really decent bit of kit. If you could post your full build, inc monitor and your use case (is it more than gaming?) we could give better advice.
FYI...
