It's on the to do list/backlog. Tbf I've had it a few years now. Seemed like a good, sure I'll play this soon, buy at the time... but then, don't they all? 🤪
Fwiw I never got very far in Dishonored 1. The game was great but I had real troubles keeping combat flowing assassin style with the...
Too bad... I got the first two when the second came out and the third back in the Autumn.
A great combo but for me much like the slower burn, do a mission or two now and then between other things kind of deal I had with GTA5 and will with RDR2.
It's a nice package for anybody who's interested...
Kinda sorta makes sense tbh and could garner more fans/sales etc than how it was done.
There's a similar (though fiercely argued) debate re the Total War: Warhammer series atm. Three standalone games that, owned/put together open up into something bigger. That one though is somewhat more...
First thought, 'ooh a tenner'. But then realised I'd never heard of it, not since GR: Wildlands, and that was some 5 years ago.
Would've asked if anybody knows if it's any good but... well... does it matter...
Next thought, 'but it's Ubi...' (with ALL the potential bothersome malarkey that...
No ultrawide, no good.
(he said, glancing fondly at his £450 screen...)
This reminded me of that Ferrari badged gaming worthy Toshiba laptop that was quite desirable about 12 years ago. Though tbf that wasn't too pricey over the competition, part for part/frame for frame etc.
But yeah...
That'd be sweet, save me a few quid buying it outright. But we'll see how it goes, don't want to be down on new Dead Space but we all know how the hot new game can so often turn out these days.
Fwiw though the original 1 and 2 were greats and are still worth the playing, if a little clunky in...
Just threw down on RDR2. I did try it for an afternoon a while back and it was a slow burn, at least to start off.
But GTA5 story mode is finally done with now and, and that was a slow burn, periodic play that took a few years to finish up. Tbh much of my time in GTA5 was side missions...
Looks good, if the vid was an RT advert... and me an AMD man (but no tears please, it's a waste of good rastering)
Well, it might be a reason to keep my XBGP sub going (which I got free with the laptop but didn't actually know had been activated for a month, duh on me) if A Plague Tale: Requiem...
As mentioned, gf is a huge Potter fan. While not being particularly interested, I had seen bits and pieces given it seems one or the other of the movies was on TV near every weekend for years, it was kind of hard to miss when parents always had at least one TV on.
Anyway, I allowed her to...
Thing about 1080p is it still does alright in some conditions.
I got a gaming laptop with a 15.6" 1440p 165Hz screen a couple of months ago. Tbh while I would notice if it had been a 1080p screen (and would probably have been higher refresh) it wouldn't have been the worst. My previous gaming...
Cor... those specs are a bit beefy. Not unexpectedly so for modern AAA games, mind, but maybe for this one. It just doesn't look up to the requirements if I be so honest. There's a good few games of late (and going back at least a couple of years) that are asking for, as base requirements at...
Thank you very much, from both of us.
As I may have said, I'm generally kind of loathe to ask for myself. I do have a fair backlog and library of games so I always have something to fall back on even if I get burned out (some games these days get too long) or whatever.
My gf though... well...
I don't always take Epic up on their freebies as some things I can't ever see myself playing.
However, I'll have both these. Shadow Tactics was damn good so Aiko's Choice (it's expansion) is bound to be worth a go.
Kerbal on the other hand is likely to be, for me, more like Just Cause 2. I may...
I'll take you up on that offer of The Ascent then, ta. I've seen it'll run very well on the Steam Deck well too, which is a big draw.
Tbh though Fling to the Finish looks good. I'm ok for sp games for me, much backlog and not much gaming time lately, but I'm always open to more coop stuff for...
Added bonus: A few other devs could take notes on the optimisation side. I had Doom 2016 on my old, old gaming laptop (i7 4720HQ, GTX 970m 3Gb, 16 Gb RAM,1080p 60Hz) and it was an outlier among contemporary AAA games in that it ran, at ultra, double the refresh rate... and still looked great...
Ooh. It's a good 'un. The series is second only to more recent Resident Evil (2 and 3 remake, 4,5,7,8) and in the same league as Dying Light (more fully open world, less outright scary) and Dead Space (old but gold)
I won't be a spoiler, Martinr36, but if you liked any of the above, there'll at...
Wizard of Legend was actually pretty damn good (considering I don't really go for Roguelikes) and was actually one of the games that kept my interest (and sub) for Gamepass going as long as it did.
Question though, as I'll assume you've played the above, but what's The Ascent like as a single...
Cool.
But correct me if I'm wrong (and cos it's 0344 and I'm only up to let the dogs out and then, omg, insomnia?)...
Anyway, this new screen would be 32:9 ratio, right, not 21:9? (like my beloved 3440x1440)
Not keen on 32:9 as a gamer only... too much like peeking through a late medieval visor...
Nothing wrong with Peggle. Was a time not so long ago in the great scheme of things, 2012-2015, when literally all I had for fun was a first gen AMD A6 laptop. Honestly it couldn't run much even then, and those better games it could, even from before 2012, were low settings and fps. So it was...
A timely reminder, thanks. Was going to look into Portal 2 as a Steam sale buy but forgot. Tbh I did have a go at Portal back in the XB360 days and honestly, I really didn't get it. But tbf I was the guy that put 40 hours into Just Cause 2 without getting much into that game... but experiments...
