Im guessing it would make more sense to wait a couple of weeks till the new GPUs are out then as buying a monitor is the easy bit, putting in new GPU would be rocket science to me!!!
The idea is to get a new monitor at xmas so he wanted to get a good pc first then add extra stuff i.e. monitors etc for xmas & birthday (both in december) so we /I just wanted to make sure the PC spec was ok before i go ahead with the purchase
