PCSPECIALIST PC Review (Ordered but processing)

The first thing I did was to flash the BIOS and update it, then fresh install W11 :D I would do that with any system of mine, pre-build or DIY.

PCSPECIALIST PC Review (Ordered but processing)

Evening folks! My build arrived yesterday and managed to finish setup of the PC and my desk today. I thought I'd share :) Once again, many thanks for your help and advice, fantastic community here. It was definitely greatly appreciated ❤️ Had a little trouble with my GPU, sadly it turned out...

PCSPECIALIST Considering Upgrading My PCS System Due to Loud Noise

You are absolutely correct, dB is a logarithmic scale and thus as you mentioned a 3 dB increase is in effect a doubling of sound, your doubling relatively low sounds levels. Most coolers were within 3 dB in the source video, the 5 dB was to cover more coolers.

PCSPECIALIST Considering Upgrading My PCS System Due to Loud Noise

I should have also answered your question too! As Tony & Scott mentioned, the Titan 280 or 360 would be a better cooler than your current. There is an argument that a bigger AIO is quieter than a smaller one as it'll achieve better cooling with less effort, thus less RMP. Though the actual...

PCSPECIALIST Considering Upgrading My PCS System Due to Loud Noise

Are you able to show us the fan curves? It could be that they are set a little aggressive and don't allow much thermal headroom. In addition, what conditions are your PC in? For example, is it in an enclosed space within the room with little/no ambient airflow? Are there windows nearby? There...

PCSPECIALIST Looking for feedback on this build

Essentially what Tony said regarding HDDs. They are super cheap and reliable for massive amounts of storage. Plus, if you're storing things like graphic images or pictures etc.. on there, there is no need to access them as fast as possible i.e. storing them on an SSD. In addition, storing lots...

PCSPECIALIST Looking for feedback on this build

I too typically used to just have everything on one drive. However, discussions on this very forum and the fact my friends OS was literally bricked from an update mere days ago (he had a single drive) has me convinced it's the way to go. It has a few benefits, mainly: Having the OS and...

PCSPECIALIST Looking for feedback on this build

The best CPU recommendation would hinge on how much you'll realistically game as well as what types of programs you intend to you use frequently as a workstation. For example if you use many other AVX 512 applications other than Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Illustrator...

PCSPECIALIST PC Review (Ordered but processing)

I didn't order one via PCS as I have a NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 5080 FE 16GB ready to install once I get my PC. It didn't come with a bracket because NVIDIA 🙃

PCSPECIALIST PC Review (Ordered but processing)

Good morning! I am thinking of getting a GPU bracket to prevent sag. I don't mind the PCS one, but I've seen a nice one from Corsair which gives me the option of adding the LC100 lighting panels and controlling them via iCUE in the future. I am wondering if any of you guys have used/have...

PCSPECIALIST PC Review (Ordered but processing)

I hope they sort it for you! Maybe they can use the now remaining two fans from the pack of three they used for me :D

PCSPECIALIST Thoughts on my build would be greatly appreciated

I'd personally recommend Solidigm (P44 for OS/Programs, P41 for storage) or Corsair (MP600 Elite for OS/Programs, MP600 Core XT for storage), essentially what @MrWilson recommended. I'd personally rethink the motherboad too, X870E is basically a X670E with a few new mandatory spec requirements...

PCSPECIALIST Thoughts on my build would be greatly appreciated

I'd kindly ask to specify which monitor you intend to upgrade to so that advice can be better tailored. From what you have prodivded, I'd relook at the RAM, SSDs & PSU. RAM - There is very little benefit (if any real world benefit) above 6000MHz for AM5 processors Example1 SSDs - I'd avoid...
