Thoughts on my build would be greatly appreciated

It's been 9 years since my last computer, this order is currently processing, current monitor Asus gysnc 1080p 180hz, will be upgrading to a 1440p 240hz monitor, i will be using my computer for competitive gaming, i play alot of Tarkov Rust Hunt and various other games as to my budget i could spare an extra £500 ontop of what ive already spent.

I'd kindly ask to specify which monitor you intend to upgrade to so that advice can be better tailored.
From what you have prodivded, I'd relook at the RAM, SSDs & PSU.

RAM - There is very little benefit (if any real world benefit) above 6000MHz for AM5 processors Example1
SSDs - I'd avoid Samsung for now, multiple reports of failures recently Example1 Example2
PSU - With the power issues surrounding 5090s, I'd HIGHLY recommend a much beefier PSU, at least 1200W. 1000W leaves very little wiggle room

For 1440p the 5090 is way overkill. On top of the current issues reported with the 5090 the 5080 is a grand cheaper and even that will be overkill in a lot of titles. With 1440p in mind I would wait for the 5070ti to release next week, sticking with the 5080 for now.

What SSD would you reccomend? And i honestly haven't decided on which monitor to go for yet sorry!

I'd personally recommend Solidigm (P44 for OS/Programs, P41 for storage) or Corsair (MP600 Elite for OS/Programs, MP600 Core XT for storage), essentially what @MrWilson recommended.

I'd personally rethink the motherboad too, X870E is basically a X670E with a few new mandatory spec requirements. Often X670Es have them anyways.

It's quite likely a X670, X870 or even B650 would suffice and be much cheaper. All depends on your requirements regarding connectivity. Here is a great roundup.

Took your advise and changed the ram, ssd and psu. I know the gpu is overkill but im sticking with the 5090

It's your money. With that change in mind I would probably look at a slightly larger case as the 5090 is going to be pulling a lot of power and generating a lot of heat, something like the Corsair 5000X might be a sensible switch. You will definitely want the 1200W PSU here too.

With a 5090 you should definitely be looking at a 1440p Superwide like the Samsung G9, or a 4k OLED display to fully make the most of it.
