I'd prefer an air cooler as I'm not a big fan of AIO/Liquid cooling, there were noctua coolers I've looked at as well but the DRP4 is more my budget (around 80GBP)
I've listed my specs below, the Dark rock pro 4 would fit should I decide to get it
Case
MSI MAG Vampiric 011C (Ryzen Edition)
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Motherboard
Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE: DDR4, USB 3.1 - RGB Ready
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz 4x8gb...
Hi,
I'm currently debating on whether or not to replace my current cooler with a dark rock pro 4 to cool my 3700X. Will the DRP 4 be enough to cool the 3700X?
Many thanks
That's what I would say, yeah. Everything else works perfectly (I'm using Chrome for the time being) so maybe I just have to wait for Microsoft to release an update for Edge?
Hi,
So I recently updated my VBios for the RX 5600XT from ASUS (The TUF X3 OC) and since then, windows edge opens up with a black display. Nothing shows whatsoever. When I attempt to uninstall Edge however, I open a new tab and the webpage loads as normal.
Is there any reason why this is...
I get that, shoulda mentioned that was idle temps. Under load (Modern Warfare at max settings and unlimited fps, streamlabs, groove music and this webpage; temps hit no higher than 64 degrees. It's a slight improvement compared to the 34 Duo (hit around 70 degrees) but as I said, I'll get a...
So, a quick update. Despite what you suggested (getting a 240mm) I decided to go for a 120 Arctic Freezer II and the temps are REALLY good.* At the moment, with the webpage open, groove music and streamlabs on, I'm currently hitting highs of 37 degrees and lows of 28 degrees.
*I know I'd get...
It's an Arctic Freezer II 120AIO (That's all my case can house unfortunately) but playing BO4 with the Duo fans installed, the game ran around 59/60 degrees at max settings which I believe is respectable (Had spotify, task manager, StreamLabs and Steam running open as well.)
UPDATE: So we (me and my mother) took the cooler off, wiped off the thermal paste from the cooler and the CPU, waited for it to dry, applied new thermal paste and re-mounted the cooler. Safe to say that temps are a lot more respectable (Highs of 66 degrees Celsius and lows of 37/39 degrees.)...
It could be down to the thermal paste, the heatsink is making direct contact with the CPU however. I've got Arctic MX-4 spare, should I use that and reapply the thermal paste?
