I'd prefer an air cooler as I'm not a big fan of AIO/Liquid cooling, there were noctua coolers I've looked at as well but the DRP4 is more my budget (around 80GBP)
I've listed my specs below, the Dark rock pro 4 would fit should I decide to get it
Case
MSI MAG Vampiric 011C (Ryzen Edition)
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Motherboard
Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE: DDR4, USB 3.1 - RGB Ready
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz 4x8gb...
Hi,
I'm currently debating on whether or not to replace my current cooler with a dark rock pro 4 to cool my 3700X. Will the DRP 4 be enough to cool the 3700X?
Many thanks
That's what I would say, yeah. Everything else works perfectly (I'm using Chrome for the time being) so maybe I just have to wait for Microsoft to release an update for Edge?
Hi,
So I recently updated my VBios for the RX 5600XT from ASUS (The TUF X3 OC) and since then, windows edge opens up with a black display. Nothing shows whatsoever. When I attempt to uninstall Edge however, I open a new tab and the webpage loads as normal.
Is there any reason why this is...
I get that, shoulda mentioned that was idle temps. Under load (Modern Warfare at max settings and unlimited fps, streamlabs, groove music and this webpage; temps hit no higher than 64 degrees. It's a slight improvement compared to the 34 Duo (hit around 70 degrees) but as I said, I'll get a...
So, a quick update. Despite what you suggested (getting a 240mm) I decided to go for a 120 Arctic Freezer II and the temps are REALLY good.* At the moment, with the webpage open, groove music and streamlabs on, I'm currently hitting highs of 37 degrees and lows of 28 degrees.
*I know I'd get...
It's an Arctic Freezer II 120AIO (That's all my case can house unfortunately) but playing BO4 with the Duo fans installed, the game ran around 59/60 degrees at max settings which I believe is respectable (Had spotify, task manager, StreamLabs and Steam running open as well.)
UPDATE: So we (me and my mother) took the cooler off, wiped off the thermal paste from the cooler and the CPU, waited for it to dry, applied new thermal paste and re-mounted the cooler. Safe to say that temps are a lot more respectable (Highs of 66 degrees Celsius and lows of 37/39 degrees.)...
It could be down to the thermal paste, the heatsink is making direct contact with the CPU however. I've got Arctic MX-4 spare, should I use that and reapply the thermal paste?
Hi,
So I recently purchased an Arctic eSports 34 Duo for my 3700X and temps are crazy high at the minute (The lowest I've got it is 56 degrees Celsius on idle.) Is there any reason why the temps are so high, even on idle? Games tend to run at sub 90.
Many thanks
Hi,
So I am currently looking at getting the Dark Rock Pro 4 from Be Quiet! and I'm concerned about if there will be any clearance issues with the Dark Rock Pro 4 and the Vengeance LPX. Will the Dark Rock Pro 4 fit over my memory modules?
Many thanks
I was initially gonna go 3200MHz but I already had 16GB 3000MHz installed so I decided to upgrade as some games I'm looking at run at 16GB recommended so I wanted some extra memory. It works flawlessly with 3000MHz though :)
Mine was primarily streaming, intensive gaming and video editing. As such, I think the CPU and RAM are a good combination to do so. What do you use your pc for?
So I decided to share my specs when I first got my rig compared to now with upgrades.
Before:
CPU - RYZEN 5 2600
Mobo - B450 Aorus Elite
RAM - 16GB Vengeance LPX 2400MHz (2x8)
GPU - RX 580 8GB GDDR5
M.2 - Adata SU800 128GB
HDD - Barracuda 2TB
PSU - Corsair VS 550W
CPU Cooler - Wraith Stealth...
