Hello again all,

I have dire download speeds using a hardwired Ethernet connection:

My network adapters:

I've performed all the driver updates I can, reset my router and performed all windows updates.

I received my PC today, and the same hard wired connection worked without issue on consoles for example and im getting speeds of 130 Mbps on other devices whereas on my PC, I'm lucky to get 1MB.

Is anyone able to give any advice as to what the underlying issue might be? I feel it isn't connected to my router or service provider.

Can you post your full specs from the order page?

Have you tried the obvious - a different cable?

Are you plugged directly into the router or via other cabling / power network or something?

Hello there!

I'm connecting via a powerline adapter, I've used the same setup on a laptop and a console with no issue.

That said, I have ordered 6 speed ethernet cables to see if that might be the issue.

I suggest you test first by plugging directly into the router / modem and see what speeds you get there first - if you can to rule out that its not a power line adapter set up issue first.

Is the home network set to private or public? Make sure it's on private.

And uninstall bullguard entirely, it's known to cause issues with networking in general.

Hello there, I can confirm it is set to private.

I've tried logging into the router itself to see if any issues might lie there, but I can see nothing stand out.

Haha, could that be a factor to the issue?

And can you reccomend any alternatives?
Yes, it's very well known to cause networking issues along with high cpu usage.

Just use windows defender which is included with windows. It's far better than any other options.

I have installed nothing new to the system nor do I have Bullguard or any 3rd party Anit-Virus/Firewall installed.

Please assist.

Have you configured windows yet and installed all updates? Until then the system isn't ready for use.
