New pc issues

I recently received my new pc, my problem I have is that it keeps black screening and then 'no signal' appears. My pc then beeps 4 times. The first time is long and then the other 3 short, I've tried reseating my gpu and ram but yet still nothing has changed. Can anyone help me?

Have you run all windows updates?

It's worth uninstalling Bullguard fully, windows defender is actually better and included with windows.

Is there any pattern to when it loses video? Is it when running a particular program or something?

Windows is fully updated, and this is the weird thing, when I play rainbow six siege it very rarely does it, but when I play rust or csgo it does it nearly every 10 minutes, the gpu fans just stop and I black screen.

It sounds like it may be a faulty PSU perhaps and when you’re using more power on those games it’s hitting a limit and cutting power to the GPU, that’s a guess, but the symptoms fit. The beep code is graphics related.

Worth calling PCS and discussing, they may be able to send a replacement PSU for you to fit rather than having to send the whole kit back.

As an update on this, PCS sent me a new gpu, I installed it and now instead of a black screen and 4 beeps, I get random black screen and then restart and no beeps. I really don't know what's going on and it's bugging me.

All the leads to motherboard, drives & PSU plugged in properly

When you say a random black screen and restart and no beeps: Does anything power on when it restarts? Is there a single beep? Do fans run? All computers should emit a single beep during startup/restart.
On startup I'll get the usual beep to indicate all hardware is working as it should. All the fans run and temps are fine, everything works good and then I'll just eat a random black screen to restart

IMO it's the PSU as well, not sure why they sent out a GPU. Did you suggest to them that you thought it was the PSU?

GPU errors tend to be glitching and soft crashes. Hard crashes with GPU faults tend to be power related.

PSU aside, you would be looking at a potential memory fault, but I don't think that would have lead to your initial GPU beep fault code.

Candidates for the issue are:

PSU - Most Probable
Memory - Next in line, it should affect more than gaming though
Motherboard - Similar likelihood to the Memory but more difficult to replace/assess
CPU - Would cause issues regardless of gaming so unlikely
GPU - Would normally be above the CPU but as it's replaced it's highly unlikely.

This exact problem is happening to me. Very recently I got the 2004 windows update and now my Bluetooth speakers don't work and when I play games, they crash to black screen and no signal on the monitor... I've re-done my driver's but both fallout4 and Assassin's creed odyssey crash meaning I need to do a hard reboot. Any thoughts or do I need a new PC as it's about 7 years old

@Martinr36 and @alexkeith, download Memtest, make a bootable USB stick (1GB is plenty big enough) with the extracted tool and then boot that USB stick. Memtest will start running. Let it complete all four iterations of the various tests (that will take overnight with 16GB of RAM).

@alexkeith, before you run Memtest try reseating your RAM cards.
