what's the difference between a zotac or gigabyte 3080 gpu and should someone bother?

Or would it be better to wait for the once from NVIDIA directly?

You don't get any choice unless you specify an Asus card. The rest are pick of the draw.

Gigabytes are exceptional build quality and tend to be very reliable and low failure rate.

As to performance, they'll all be around the same if stock clocks, like literally talking margin of error difference.

Cooling wise, Zotac and Palit are often amongst the strongest.

But for all out build quality and performance, so far it does appear that the Nvidia Founders Edition is the one to beat, it's a very very nice design both thermally and build quality. But they're going to be very low stocks generally I would imagine.

Once overclocked cards start hitting the scene that's another story, I'm not up to speed on all the partner overclocked cards yet.

I wonder if this now is more important regarding the fact that different makers have made different quality 3k series cards resulting with all these performance issues..
