Good to know. I ordered exactly the same on the 24-12-2020, and went into pre-production on the 05-01-2021. Hopefully can stop paying for cloud compute soon...

Mine got into pre-production the same day. Order was processed on 29th of Dec, but I placed it around the time you did. Guy on the phone told me that my build should go into building when next batch arrives (the last one didn't arrive so I guess I have to wait for a 2nd batch after the delayed one). We are close, finally

Ordered my pc yesterday with a 5900x. I think it said 3-4 weeks eta. Any1 think it’s inaccurate?

The 3-4 weeks ETA doesn’t apply for items on pre-order. Build time will depend on when PCS receive supplies and how many people are ahead of you in the queue. 3-4 months might be more realistic, but hopefully shorter than that, as I have just ordered one.

The 5900x is preorder, it would have stated that when you ordered, pre order items have no ETA currently, please read the stickies to familiarise yourself on the current stock situation worldwide.

Went into test on the 28th and has had an order status of "In Testing - Problem" ever since. No notes on the order and no communication from PC Specialist so I've no idea what is going on or when/if it is actually ever going to arrive.

There's more demand the lower you go, higher end chips sell lower volumes.

Same with any architecture.

It is easier to make a 5800x since it doesn't have to be as good as 5900x (lower yields etc)

Oh wow, I didn't realise the wait for the 5900x was so long. My start has barely begun at 20 days and I thought it was the 3060Ti in my build that was going to be the hold up, not to mention the delivery to Germany..

I removed my GPU a couple weeks ago.

What the hell?! I'm on day 37 and I was told it'd be at most a couple more weeks of wait for the 5900x when I called PCS?!
