I don't know if they go by the order date or amend date if several orders are in this situation though.

They go by the order date and its working days for the purposes of the T&Cs.

Received automated email again today saying build date still "30th".

Apparently PCS are awaiting stock of the 5900x for my order and the agent I spoke with this afternoon said they were expecting some on the 13th and 16th but nothing confirmed arrivals wise.

The last automated email I had gave me a build date of the 16th which I'm hoping is correct as it puts them just in the 30 working day window per their terms and conditions of sale (aka the contract) the 5900x is the last thing I'm waiting on, I even confirmed they were in stock when I ordered but they were allocated to the 3080 orders it seems. I got my card and monitor separately as it was faster and better than PCS's offerings anyway.

I'm not getting any automated emails at all. Can't see an option to enable them on the website either.

Just to say, I got an automated email yesterday stating it would be the 18th now. :rolleyes: Not sure if anyone had some allocated on Friday (maybe some of the 3080 orders?).

Been airing my frustrations with a competitor who has stated they both have the CPUs in stock and that I can fast track an order with them, gonna hold out till my build date but if it keeps getting pushed back I might have to explore my options.

Spoke to PCS via Livechat this morning, apparently they are expecting a delivery but theres no ETA as to when or how many they will receive.
This is beginning to sound awfully familiar...

Yea just been reading a few articles and it's not looking good :( Amazon now stating a January delivery for some CPU's ordered this week and a few other retailers saying December until the next major delivery in the UK :(

I know this is not the same as the title post but is this less of an issue for the 5600x? Even though that seems to be low in stock everywhere

The 5600x seems to the ONLY CPU I'm finding in stock. I can actually make a build using this CPU on a competing site and fast track it.

Just been speaking and they have apparently had no 5900x's in yet and are still waiting for their first batch to arrive. Hopefully any day but nothing confirmed.

Could not advise how many or where I was in the queue as there is no list that the person could access but did say that what they were expecting would cover the order (email confirmation was 14:02 on launch day)

AMD on social media were very bullish around them not having these stock issues at launch. A lot of hubris I think - the problem seems to be so bad that you aren't even really seeing a substantial number of listings on ebay with people scalping the launch stock. These are the times we are living in sadly. Doesn't give me much hope for the new GPU's either

I've already read the UK is reportedly only getting around 1k of the new AMD GPUs! Crazy times indeed.

Reached 30 working days today and no updates, tomorrow is my build date, no email stating its changed yet.. maybe I'll get another automated one at 6.30 but PCS Staff advised on another thread that these emails are supposed to be up to date now and only stopped for the 3080 cards...
