Im with Talk-talk

You should be able to download faster than 630 KB/s then. Bear in mind that your DL speed may vary depending on which website you use to download. Is that the maximum you can reach even when DL movies, music etc..? Where do u DL your games from?

ok that's good, were only at 1/2 speed then, instead of 1/7 :p

Yeah that's better :p

Your speed may be affected by your location though, I dunno if BT do that but on O2's website you could input your postcode and they'd tell you what kind of speeds you could expect. They told me that I would get around 18 Mbps but I usually got around 16, and I'm in central London..

I download my games from steam and when torrenting games such as slenderman or never ending staircase it downloads at the same speed.

DLs from Steam depend on server load so you could get less than your max sometimes but not all the time unless you always choose very popular games at peak times. Similarly P2P depends on the seed/peer ratio. You could try DL a program from a website like CNet and then check your average DL speed, see if it gets any faster than 630 KB/s.

Also go on speedtest.net and take another test, be sure to stop any other DLs and post back the results. I think the default speed is in megabits; so go to settings and change the speed measurement option to megabytes and post your results :)
