Universal Windows Programs, what they called Metro in windows 8, it’s the cut down programs that are installed through the windows store app.

Right I am with you.

The reason i said install through geforce experience is because every time windows update has installed nvidia drivers for me, automatically Geforce experience tells me they are not the latest ones so i figured they would be the latest ones.

*edit* - I am starting to lean towards a fresh install of windows?

Yeah, with graphics drivers, you don't use the default windows ones, they're always out of date. It's the only driver that you source directly through NVidia.

It's quite possible, I'd firstly try fully removing the driver and geforce experience and trying the nvidia download, that may well correct it, but yes, if that fails, I think reinstall is probably going to be the quickest next step.

I may sound dumb here, but I've never tried a full reinstall. How do I go about doing that?

I did try to uninstall the drivers as you said, then uninstall through ddu and lastly installing the drivers through the nvidia website instead of nvidia geforce. It didn't correct it. I chose game ready drivers instead of studio drivers, was that wrong?

Is my only option a full reinstall now? And if I do that, how should I install the drivers, and which exact ones?

No mate those were the right drivers.

You want to use the Media Creation Tool on that page.

This page from windows explains all.

if you get stuck give us a shout.

*Edit* once you have installed windows go through the processes of installing all windows updates then we will take it from there.

*2nd edit* - On the windows page i linked you too you want to folllow the instructions for using the tool to create installation media. Not upgrade!

Ok thank you!

When reinstalling windows, after it is done. Do I then install all windows updates first, or the nvidia driver from their website first?

And when installing the game ready driver through nvidias website, do I include geforce experience in that install or leave it out to begin with?

Install all windows updates first then we will work out what drivers you are missing and install them one by one.

I've now made a clean install of windows and installed all windows updates.

Where do I go from here? That is ALL I have done. Nothing more.

I can tell from dxdiag that there has been no change so far.

What exactly do I install now, and in what order? :)

Check out device manager. What has a yellow exclamation mark next to it?

Nothing has the yellow exclamation mark atm and when I check properties for the rtx 2070 super it says the device is working. However it still says error 43 in dxdiag and only the one screen.

Ok go to your PCS account and click on Tech support then download.
This is where all your drivers will be.
First one I would install is the GamingCenterU.
Once you have installed that restart Windows and download the latest display driver from the nvidia site and install that.

Should I download the nvidiaGA_10 from PCS before or after?

I wouldn't bother installing it mate the one you will get from the nvidia website will be the most up to date.
Also, when you're installing the GPU driver, download the full driver from nvidia, don't download geforce exprience and install through that.
