My mate got me back into this recently with refer a friend. Used to have a 80 Hunter back in WOTLK, have started leveling together and its ridiculous how easy it is to level now. We started a Druid Tank and Pally Healer and are just raiding our way to 85. Literally got to level 49 in less than a day. The refer a friend experience bonus is crazy :| and the fact guilds now have all these special abilities.. Changed alot!

I've been playing wow since the very start, swapped to all new MMO's, WAR, AoC, Lotro, Aion, yet I've always gone back to WoW since they all lack something, I'm not a massive fan of WoW anymore, but I'm playing it due to lack of a better MMO, waiting for Guild Wars 2 which looks like its going to have what all other new MMO's lacked, mostly a smooth game play without all the rigid movements and bad interfaces and generally all new MMO's go out with a "We'll be the new wow" attitude and fail badly. Guild Wars never tried doing that, since they're free to play. Good thing about GW2 now is that they'll bring all their experience from GW and improve it 
Gonna be awesome, but, it might not even be out this year, I'm guessing 2012 Q1, hoping for 2011 Q4 though.

I play on Argent Dawn, these days I'm on either
Wimpy 85 Goblin Hunter
Magdim 85 Tauren Paladin
Mostly played Alliance in the past and got plenty of 85's, but gave up on that faction, feels like it's got more young players then Horde. Feel free to give me a whisper, currently playing in a very mature casual raiding guild, lots of fun and most players are older then 26 and some have kids of their own, making the gaming enviorment feel more, well real, and everyone referes to members by their first names, not character names, making it a more close knit group. I have to say, joining that guild's made me enjoy WoW more, so it's more about who you play with, not just what game you play.
