Well as you can see, the nano that replaced my original one hasn't exactly lasted longAw I'm absolutely GUTTED. I threw out my old 1st Gen nano a while back.

Sounds like it got the typical 12 month Apple illness, where strangely after about 12 months everything goes wrong
Technology isn't built to last these days because they know people will go out and buy a new one so they make them so they only last a couple of years at best. iOS gets slower and slower on old devices after every update as they try to force everyone to upgrade.
