It really does depend on personal preferences and if you have a touch screen or not, becuase windows 8 is made for touch even though you can use it with a mouse and keyboard(obvouasly) but the main reason is touch, but at the end of the day it depends on personal taste I recomend windows 8 as it can be a bit faster than windows 7 and if you want to be updated get windows 8.
