Hello...again :)

Just gone and impulse bought a new RGB fan to swap out for my non-RGB black fan on the rear. Will this fan fit fine in terms of being able to connect it and have RGB working?

To control it at all, you need a commander pro or a lighting node pro which is a little unit that all the fans connect to.

Normally you buy them in a pack of two or three fans and a lighting pro or commander pro, I would avoid the lighting core as it's just too basic and doesn't allow for any expansion:

Thanks for that, just to clarify I can plug it in and the RGB will work, but I just can't control the lighting/speeds, or will the lighting not work at all?

The lighting wouldn’t work at all because you’d have nowhere to plug it in.

Hm, understandable 🤔 So I'm assuming I can't just buy a singular RGB fan that I can connect to the motherboard and have working like the fan I have in now?

On the motherboard manual it states this under the RGB headers:

The Addressable Gen2 header supports WS2812B addressable RGB LED strips (5V/ Data/Ground), with a maximum power rating of 3A (5V), and the addressable headers on this board can handle a combined maximum of 500 LEDs.
Before you install or remove any component, ensure that the power supply is switched off or the power cord is detached from the power supply. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to the motherboard, peripherals, or components.

Actual lighting and color will vary with LED strip.
If your LED strip does not light up, check if the addressable RGB LED strip is connected in the correct orientation, and the 5V connector is aligned with the 5V header on the motherboard.
The addressable RGB LED strip will only light up when the system is powered on. The addressable RGB LED strip is purchased separately.

Alright I’ve plugged in my new fan on the back, put it into the power thing for it at the bottom. How do I get the RGB lights to light up as there’s nothing else I need to plug in?

Remote for controls are working as when I press a button it lights up on the remote, but does nothing to the fan

Photo shows the controller box at the bottom and the new fan

@SpyderTracks Will you have any idea? Power box thing has connected to a SATA cable to the PSU, and then the fan connects to the box. Fan is spinning, just not getting any lighting from it

Attached here, only using 1 fan so I don’t think plugging into the wrong connector would make a difference?

So it specifically says they need to be connected in the right order so from 1 upwards, so guessing it has to be in number 1?

Damn it I've got it in slot 3, not slot 1...opposite end. Didn't think this would make a difference with lighting if it's only one fan connected. Will get it switched over on my 11pm break lmao thanks

My guess is it’s a parallel circuit, so if 1 isn’t populated, it doesn’t complete the circuit to 2 and so on.
