A new monitor is the next thing to buy so advice there will be needed too as i know he needs to upgrade that as well however editing im not sure about but definitely streaming yes, we/he has been saving for two years so hes been waiting for GPU to come out( he doesnt know im ordering it so i wanted to make sure everything works and is all compatable first)

Remove the anti-virus, it’s not needed. Windows defender is much better.

For the majority of most users it’s 144hz 4K. 360hz is for 1080p low graphics setting pro gaming or esports

1080p 360hz is for competitive gamers. Very few people can see any difference over about 120hz, that’s why competitive players are paid about $1M per match. It’s also very poor in modern gaming visuals.

4k 144hz or superwide would be far better.

Also, if editing you’ll need a dedicated scratch drive of about 500gb, standard PCS SATA SSD would do fine.

And at least silver warranty.

Ok so if i was to purchase both for my son he could do both play gta etc on the ultra wide 144hz and fortnite siege etc on the 360hz would he get use out of the 360 for fortnite

Ultrawide is too small for the rtx3080, you need superwide, this is the best one available and IMHO the best screen available bar none, it’s also 240hz so still has very high refresh rate to grow into.

do you know if these specks can record in 4k on gta also what does the difference of 144fps and 360fps look like on the monitor do any of you guys know (y)

Yes, it’s a normal monitor so you can split the screen and have multiple inputs or just split windows on the desktop, you can do whatever you like.
